He was voted NJs best wrestler of the century.

OP asked about generational talent.  That is someone who is projected to dominate over their respective field and in their own way revolutionize their sport.  Hahn in now way met that criteria going into college.  He finished his NCAA career on par for what someone of his talent was projected to do.  5,5,1,1.  Take someone like Steveson.  He was projected to compete for a national title as a freshman and change the landscape on how a Heavyweight can wrestle.   "Generational Talent" is getting thrown around too loosely on this board.

He was kind of a big deal. Was in Sports Illustrated.

Not denying he wasn't a big deal but he was not considered a generation talent.  I didn't even put David Taylor, Logan Steiber, or even the great Cael Sanderson wasn't on that hype list.

If I thought it might happen I would.

    I don't think anybody is touching Stalrocci at 174lbs this season unless O'Toole bumps up.  A 165lb O'Toole isn't beating a 174lb Stalrocci, though.

Not sure if Mizzou will see Penn State this season.

But that's not the point.  I just dont want Cinnabon to do it

Damion Hahn was in this category.

No he wasn't.  His hype was more similar to David Taylor/Logan Steiber.  Definitely a blue chip recruit but not at the level of the others l listed

I was asking about Recruits that were labeled generational coming out of HS.

If we're talking about what I think you mean, "Kobe Bryant/Lebron James" level hype then it's a short list.  Kolat, Mocco, Schlatter, Aaron Pico and Steveson.

I was in no way slighting PSU! (for once)

I was actually saying that it is difficult to recruit career 125s and recruiting is probably a more likely explanation than "Cael can't coach 125 lbers."

Sorry that you are so fragile!

I'm as fragile as a Wogdon & Barton flintlock smoothbore pistol.

Was there a link between “the original suspect(s)” at Iowa and Iowa state?   Or even “the original suspect(s)” and the other athletes at the same school on different teams?  Who even was the “original suspect(s)”?  I don’t really know the specifics of what started it, although IIRC there was something about someone using a family member’s account (don’t think it was originally Paniro, but not sure).

If the Iowa wrestlers for example all had their own accounts on the betting site(s), I’d presume all the investigators had to do was look through the site records for athletes’ names.  I guess we don’t know for sure if they did that for UNI or not, but it seems not.

Just hypothesizing.  My guess is as good as anyones at this point.

Yeah I get it, you’re the third person to say this.  But there was a statement made (not sure by who, but reported by a journalist and not just a message board poster) that UNI did not have anyone being investigated.

And like the poster above just said, while I think people are exaggerating with the “but everyone’s doing it” rhetoric, it’s highly unlikely that not a single UNI (or Iowa D2 or D3 school) athlete gambled.

Hypothesizing, wouldn't there have to be a link between an UNI athlete to the original suspect(s) to warrant an investigation?  I don't believe you can investigate just on a hunch.

Sure, an admin can. You can't.

If any admin from this site wants to publicly state whether I have more than one account here they can. They can see any IP address I've used to post here with any account. I don't care if they want to tell people I have one account.

If you think you can see my IP address then go ahead and reply to this and post the IP addresses and the usernames of mine. You're only going to find one, and it's this one. I don't know why you want me to be more than one account here so badly.

Which Cinnabon are you?  OG TheMat Cinnabon or Intermat Parody Cinnabon?  And if you're OG  TheMat Cinnabon then who is Intermat Cinnabon w/the official Cinnabon icon?

Dude, Suriano was a NQ @ 125 (MFF due to injuries), 2nd @ 125, 1st @ 133, 1st @ 125.. He was a stud. Career record of 86-7 and the "worst" loss of his career was to DeSanto.

This forum needs to be constantly reminded that @Interviewed_at_Weehawkenentire purpose on here is to slight PSU wrestling in anyway possible.

He was the #3 because he lost to Marcus Coleman.  Hidlay and Keckheisen did not have similar losses.  For some reason, people forget this.

Last years results are taken to account, just not officially.  The coaches ranking takes last years results into account, for instance.  That's why Ramos was #1.

Didn't matter in the end.  Everyone knew Brooks was the clear #1.  I only feel for the guys that get ranked between 5-12 because where they get seeded can play a huge factor on whether or not they make the podium

Flo had people on the ground in PA. JD called the finals. I dont like Crookham at #1 but some do. Rankings are great for hype and discussion

Looking at his schedule he'll have every opportunity to earn it

Probably. Then in January he gets to wrestle Vito again. All I can say is this year has really started out with some amazing wrestling. This should  be one for the record books.

Crookham gets Nagao/Fix back to back then mid January Vito/Colaiocco back to back then most likely Vito again at EIWA before the big dance.  He has quite the schedule

It was important to us that Spencer made his own decision. I’m a spreadsheet type of person, so I helped him do research on each school. I answered questions for him. We looked at academics, majors, graduation rates, rankings, etc. I put every factor he considered into a spreadsheet to refer to after each visit.

So @Wrestleknownothing is actually Larry Lee?

Under Sanderson PSU has the same number of AA's (4) who have earned the same number of AA spots (7) and the same number of titles (2) with the same number of 4x AAs (1) at 133 and 141.

Now we are up to 4 numbers. I can keep going.

    Who invited the "numbers guy"?
