Often times I/we try to visit some special sites in the city where the NCAA tournament is being held, beginning with Washington D.C./Maryland 1972. Here are a few of our visits....some enjoyable and some very sad. Fadz

OK, let's try it.....years missed.....73, 74, 76, 80, 81, 83 and 84....for me that wasn't easier.....lol. Coming soon, places visited while at NCAA's, not counting FanFare....which there is going to be this year....a full "FanFare".

We almost know each other....have to have crossed paths at sometime....lol.

43rd NCAA Championship and 37 years in a row (attended in some capacity). "The streak" started in 1985 (Oklahoma City) and I haven't missed since.

I was one minute too late to include this in my above post, so I'll put it here....this is my pass/ticket collection since 1970...I put it in special effect to protect my innocence. 43 NCAA's/37 in row.....many Big Tens, Midlands, USA/USSR, World Cups and more. Fadz

Can't wait, but first things first....conference championships....for me the Big Ten and then onto number 43/37 in a row....not my first rodeo. Fadz

Yes....I should have included his name, Yoshiro Fujita, who ended up at Okie State as he had defeated Yojiro Uetake in a trials matches in Japan* and Uetake put Myron Roderick on to him. Uetake was undefeated in college and a 2 time Olympic Champion. *I had read this somewhere.

Ah yes, Cincinnati...1972, 126 pounds defending NCAA Champion and Oklahoma State great loses on injury default to Howard Fox (Cinci/coach Stan Able)....Fox gets pinned next round and is out. This opened the door for a freshman Pat Milkovich to win his first NCAA title.

Maybe if I do this.....

I talked to a close friend with the NWHOF (my turn to use an acronym)....and they said subtract 600 from the capacity due to needed floor space, contributing to the fact I'm in the upper bowl after 43 NCAA's/37 in a row.....smh. BUT I'm with 6 other guys so that was a big factor. That's OK....still the best time of year ....Big 10 for a huge warmup then the big dance...."March Matness ©".....I'm laying claim to coining the phrase many years ago, after sitting in establishments between sessions (with my former team mate S. B.*) stuck watching basketball with the commentators saying March Madness. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. *my 2nd acronym..lol

I have a favorite...not from my team and it's not SL, but SL would be right up there.....my favorite....keeping it to myself, just like another topic or 2.
