Ben Askren with an interesting take…he thinks Nasir Bailey has Iowa’s second best chance of making the finals

He’s right. Caliendo is #1 obviously.

While I don't entirely agree, Nasir is a really good tourney wrestler. And this year being up a weight, he could surprise everyone he is a small 141 so he will have to wrestle his afternoons against some big dudes, but he should have more energy

Full of un-bias blasphemy.

Did brands 2 weeks ago, tell the AD that he was gonna be more open, more in depth, more direct, when it came to being interviewed/answering questions from reporters and the fans?

He is right back to he his classic, we gotta be our best, that guys ready to go, etc.

Whenever he is finally finished with coaching he's got a great career as a Fortune 500 motivational speaker don't ya think?   we gotta hoe the row

Hopefully he also uses:

When you get in trouble, when you’re in trouble is when you don’t know you’re in trouble, and so when you get in trouble and if you know you’re in trouble then you always end up on top”

Is it a sign that Tom has gone from firing up the rocketship to find competition in other galaxies to now simply expressing the need to hoe the row?

What say you no?

I say if a man has a row to hoe, let that man hoe that row!

Who, if anybody, makes the finals for Iowa this year.

My guess is this is the year the streak goes away.

Could the 9th time be the charm for Caliendo?

I really like Caliendo as he always brings it, but I was hoping Blaze would win so we wouldn't have to see MM/Caliendo #9. It will be interesting to see the approach Caliendo takes for the match. Caliendo was able to slow the match down in his 8-2 loss to MM in last year's Finals match, but at the expense of him being able to get to his offense. One thing I do like about their matches is they both stay out of interlocking fingers as a way to slow down a match. So many matches anymore are slowed down by this tactic.
