Very interesting that he can get the #1 with only 13 matches, he is my prediction to win but still surprised

Seeding committee had one job, don’t put Davino/blaze and Jax/seidel on the same side

As a fan I rooted for that.  But the seeding committee shouldn't even consider things like that.  Each seed has to be entirely independent of the other seeds.  They aren't in there to doctor brackets for fan entertainment.

I get it but we’ve seen Davino/Blaze twice and Jax/seidel already….. I don’t think ppl would have much complaining for Davino 1, Jax 2, and blaze 3

I assumed Jax would be 2 or 3.  I can't imagine there would have been any complaining from anyone if that happened.

How could the matrix spit out Jax at 1?  I thought it was pretty much a done deal for Davino?

Jax beat Ayala, Seidel and Larkin.

and they put nearly the whole B1G on the same side:

#2 Davino v (#7 Byrd / #26 Shawver / #23 Brown) winner in QF

#3 Blaze v #6 Ayala in QF

Someone on Flo predicted Ayala over Blaze.

Jax Forrest just proved to all of you & myself that the regular season doesn't matter

Yeah I’d like them to spread out the conferences a bit, get that sometimes you can’t control that

Jax is undefeated and beat some quality guys. Why wouldn’t he be the #1 seed? Blaze and Davino are both freshmen too, so what would put them above Jax?

We used to do that.  They stopped it really wasn't fair with the large numbers of qualifiers from the b10.

I don’t think that’s a seeding criteria, is it?

The Division I Men’s Wrestling Committee

● Conference Champion.
● Performance in last five matches.
● Number of Injury default or medical forfeits wins/losses.
● Best quality win.
● Recency of win.
● Wrestler availability (injured or medically unable to compete).

Don’t you need 15 matches to get a RPI? Jax only had 13….. not saying he didn’t deserve it with his wins, but you asked what would put Davino or Blaze above Jax

We need Fred right now to claim Jax didn't wrestle NDI so he had some mythical advantage.

it’s gotta mean the coaches ranking put Jax at #1.  Which would be interesting since both Flo and Intermat did not
