I was also surprised at that match.  Volk has been so up and down over his career. When he is on, he is really good.

Not shocked because Bouzakis had to hold his weight. I think it’s gonna be a issue in 2 weeks come Friday night

I think it's been a little bit underrated how well he's done with this extreme cut this year.  By all accounts, he had a big cut when he was at 133.  He took it to another level in the way of Michigan era Nick Suriano down at 125.  But unlike Suriano, Bouzakis doesn't look miserable all the time.

From the outside looking in, based on his consistency of his performances in spite of such an extreme weight cut, it appears as if Bouzakis has ELITE weight discipline.

Volk looks strong as hell

He actually made Bouzakis look like a normal 125 pounder, which is saying something.

Lilledahl looks like a string bean out there, but yet he wins.

He doesn't look healthy at all. Look how bony his face looks.

Yeah I dont think its a long term fit, but hopefully it doesn't kill him making the weight for one more tournament

I’ll be curious to see how he performs on Friday and Saturday. He handled the back to back weigh in at the national duals really well though.

At the *beginning* of the season.

It's a cumulative effect thing.

some guys handle the cut better as the season goes on and you get a rhythm to your drop, some guys it gets harder and harder to feel good after weigh ins as they stack.
