BigRedFan Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Pantaleo knocks Gomez unconscious on a takedown. Like out cold. Didn't see any head contact, but must've been like a knockout punch that twists the head/neck or something. strapping him on a board to carry him off. Still out. Doesn't look good.

Gantry Posted February 25 Posted February 25 It's weird to say, but good to see high scoring and sloppy Vito out there, even in losses. It's his style and he clearly was was less aggressive for a couple years there because of the injury.

Between this and the yarygin Kadiev looks like he’d the Vegas favorite at 86 which is looking like a stacked weight this year .. sujeet might make some noise @ 65. Arajau is fun to watch man , not certain he’s big enough maybe who knows … the pulled a last split second win the match before I guess he’s got championship savvy. Missed the Lee match . Lot of awesome matches this tournament .. arajau vs vs at 70 and vs at 86 all had crazy endings

He just isn't big enough for 86kg, he's noticeably smaller than everyone he's wrestling. I get he wants to do 86kg at the Olympics, but I wish he'd go down to 79kg and contend for medals instead of getting out horsed while way undersized. Edited February 25 by Gantry

His style won't work without leverage, which is diminished at 86kg. He just isn't tall enough for 86 kg. Especially when the opponents are cutting down from 92 or 95 kg.
