I did know that.  I didn't think it was that controversial to say PSU doesn't schedule a tough non con but apparently it has upset some PSU fans who are doing deep dives to point out ISU has not been good or take credit for scheduling Oklahoma and Lehigh.  It seem dumb to me.   PSU isn't changing anything because of posters on message boards and what they are doing is absolutely working to record breaking success so I don't know why PSU fans get upset when it is pointed out.  If PSU fans need to take credit for scheduling Lehigh, then I hope it helps them feel better.

it’s not negative to want to watch the best teams compete against a strong off season schedule boss.   Get with the program

 No. Because when you’re elite at something like D1 wrestlers are you don’t think like that. Anyone whose ever been extremely good at something knows that.

PSU’s non conference can be better. They’ve done more than any team has for the sport. Everyone should respect that but all this can be right and still say they game the game in certain areas.

It is a weird dichotomy; the general attitude of the PSU fan base (especially on their message board) is equal parts arrogant and fragile.

This isn’t true.  Most teams want to see how they stack up.   They also particularly like when they can host PSU so they can set an attendance record due to PSU’s bandwagon fans (which of course that does help grow the sport).

If Cael didn’t spend the last decade ducking every opponent with a pulse he wouldn’t have the dual record he has. Penn State is the biggest example of paper tigers I think I’ve ever seen, going back at least a decade. Probably more.

Can't blame Cael for putting emphasis on the postseason.  It's structured into his salary.
