Wow what a game.   I was hoping for an Ole Miss win but from the get go, that did not seem like it would happen.   Miami is really good.   But the Rebels came back and in the 4th qtr the lead changed hands 4 times.   And the Rebels came close to pulling it out on the last play but no.   Two Titans powering it out.   It was a great game to watch.   I'm sorry the hurricanes won but what a game it was.   The Rebels have nothing to hang their head over, they played outstanding.

I like the rebel coach better than the cane.  Great story on how he got there.

Me too.   Not that I don't like the miami coach, but the story and success of the rebel coach is amazing.   Kiffin left them in the lurch.   does anyone know why Ole Miss would not let him finish the year of coaching?   That just seems weird.

More likely in agreement/contract with LSU.  You pay that much money you want the coach to get to work building coaching team and recruiting.  The portal was open before this game.

Yeah I heard that.   The portal should not open until all the playoff games are done.

Also, Carson Beck, the QB for the canes is in his 7th year.   That is just wrong and I have said that in the college board as well.   Starocci getting 5 championships is just wrong.  4 years,  that's it, redshirt not included.

I agree 100 percent. I graduated at 21 years old and some change. Walked onto campus at 17 years old. I hope this is the last year of the 7th year college athletes.

I did the same minus the PhD.   The MS was fun.

So, all this time I have been I have been talking to some really smart guys. I'm going to need to go online and update my credentials. But I think it is much too late for that.

It was the Ole Miss admin that wouldn’t let him continue. Reasoning being recruiting season and portal season, didn’t want him wearing an ole miss hat but in reality recruiting players to LSU.  Personally, I get that, but I’m thinking for ole miss this opportunity to win a natty doesn’t come around often, seize this opportunity.

And how about last night?   Holy cow how good is Indiana?  And they just keep getting better each week.   This particular team belongs in the conversation of all time great teams. On the rare occasion they do make a mistake they’re in the position to cover it up.  Second game in a row QB has had more touchdowns than interceptions.  If Indiana is in top form championship game is going to be another blowout.

This was intended to say more touchdowns than incompletions.

Agreed.   Indiana is just a juggernaut this year.

They're beatable. Had some very close games. IA comes to mind.

Anyone is beatable because no human is perfect.  But if they are in top form, Miami is not beating them.

If they both play well, I'd say 10 pts or so. They've been stellar the last 2 games when everybody was watching, so there's some overhype going on. Great team, but I don't see them as one of the all time greats.

All time greats discussion are all about personal judgement, no way to prove one way or another…..but at least give credit where credit is due, where the raw data exists.

473 point differential for the season, more than any team in the 11 years of the playoff era.  Four games against top ten, playoff teams….average margin of victory 25 points.   Thats not overhype, that’s raw data, and thats a little more that just stellar in just the last two games.

Well see. I'm a WI fan, and that game was very close at halftime, at IN. If they wreck Miami, I may change my mind. I don't think it will be a blowout though.

They easily could have lost 3 games this year. First 2 games were powder puff teams and ez schedule overall and that's a big part of point differential.

Surprised this hasn't been talked about the last couple of days, but what a game. What....a....game.    Miami gave em everything they had, played a relatively clean game with few mistakes, not mistake free - but Miami has been prone to mistakes, and they were minimized (seven penalties and just the one final turnover), and they kept throwing hard punches all the way to the end.   Indiana did not have their best game, more mistakes than we are used to seeing, in large part forced by Miami's play, but every punch Miami threw, Indiana stood there and threw one right back, just a touch harder, and in the end got the knockout in their own house.

The great teams dominate when they are on the top of their game, and find ways to win when they are not.   This 2025 Hoosier team belongs in the conversation among the best ever.  Can't believe I'm saying that about Indiana football....but the proof is in the pudding.
