Which one uses it as a political tool? Which party thinks they're going to save the world by taxing me more because of global warming? Which party is making all the dire predictions?

It's the one that all the "wingers" hate.  Hence they have no choice.  Thank you WA you winger hate state for giving us the $0.50/gallon CO2 tax on gas and diesel.  Last I saw, $4.09/gallon for gas, $4.99/gallon diesel as the cheapest I've seen here in the Seattle King County area.   Normal is $4.79/gal for gas, and $5.25/gal for diesel around here.

And the state will not tell us how effective this is in lowering CO2 levels.  State law says they have to but they refuse and the courts don't force them to.   Yes, there nothing to see here, trust us.

Policy for how to react to man-made global warming is a completely separate issue. I actually see the point in largely holding off in our response to global warming when other mass CO2 emitters like India/Chiina aren't willing to do the same thing. However, let's not spread lies about global warming just because we don't want to do anything about it.

Both parties are guilty of exaggerating (over or under). Lots of you dumb wingers try to argue that global warming isn't even happening or that it's all or mostly natural. That's complete crap.

I'd rather look to the scientists instead of politicians. That's where you wingers are more guilty or going wrong here. You find some random winger YouTuber and believe what they say about global warming and ignore the scientists.

Only one party is taxing the shit out of everything over it with zero accountability or any metrics to show if it is working or not.

Then you get to pay higher prices for stuff that gets trucked in.  Trucks get a fuel allowance based on the price of fuel where they travel.  That expense gets transferred to the customer in the form of higher prices.

Not only is gas far more expensive.   Everything else goes up.   What happens to the cities or states sales tax on groceries or stuff that the higher costs gets transferred to the customer?  Wait those taxes go up too?

Almost like they know what they are doing there.

Historical data shows that we are currently experiencing a cool spell.  ‘Global warming’ is also a misnomer.  Many of the record daily high high temperatures are from the 1920s and’30s.  What is changing is nighttime and winter temperatures are rising a little.  Temperatures are becoming more moderate.  But ‘Global Moderation’ is hard to raise money for.

Huh? Overall global temps are much higher than they were in the 1920s and 1930s. There's 0% doubt about that. Where are you getting this BS from? Some YouTuber again?

The decade associated with record highs in one particular part of the world have almost no bearing on overall global temps. This is one of the dumbest arguments I've ever seen in my life.

Not overall, record highs.  Overall temperatures reflect the fact that nighttime and winter lows are moderating.  The info comes from scientists.

Well, it’s not caused by inflation, but it is inflation to the person paying it.

That damn dust bowl. Man there must have been some serious global warming back then

The Dust Bowl was caused by a lack of rain, not farming practices, not temperatures, lack of rain.  Just follow the equator and notice the difference in areas that get plenty of rain and those that don’t.  Some places are a jungle, some places are deserts.

Yah; this demonstrates nothing as far as overall global warming/cooling trend. Any climatologist, much less any scientist, is going to laugh at this argument. Lots of problems with this, starting with the fact that you are only looking at one particular part of the world, and also only looking at record highs, which also tell you next to nothing about overall heat.

Where are there deserts along the equator (except for possibly very small/narrow areas in rain shadows due to elevation changes)?

Those are rain shadows, as I suggested.

That’s where deserts are - where it doesn’t rain much.  The dry dirt turns to dust, blows to the ocean, where it sinks to the bottom, causing the seas to rise.
