Deadly. Wonder if a guy like Heiser could grow to 97 but probably not

That would be quite a jump for Heiser. I would bet Logan Cole or Sinclair put on weight and go up. I don't know if Stoner or Stillwell could come down...? Or a transfer.

I have high expectations for Cooley. He's up a weight in high school. Assuming he can come back down, I'm hoping he can be the 97 guy for a few years. More relative to the topic of the thread: I think Stoner has a great tank and offense. This guy simply gets outweighed, apart from a few sloppy endings. If he can somehow get down to 97, this would be the perfect scenario to me. That, or snag a transfer again. I highly doubt he can get down. Westpfahl would go up before Hesier does. Trey Craig is committed but lost to Westpfahl.

I can't imagine Hilton being too far off Seltzer. I'm uncertain who I prefer.

Off topic: I saw you mentioned your ideal lineup. Do you think Smith allows Walker to kick Moore out? Moore will be a senior next year. Do we not see Heiser or Gleason in the lineup? And what happened to Roller?!

I’m no insider but I see absolutely zero scenarios(unless injury) where Moore isn’t the starter next year. That’s just how it’s almost always been under Smith. He is loyal, almost to a fault. Also so far none of the other 133s have beaten Moore in a head to head setting. Antonio Mills was our best chance to replace Moore, that ship has sailed. Heiser in my opinion absolutely could crack the lineup next year. With Mayfield departing, Bambanelli or Heiser if he can make it can fill in at 165. I could also see Sinclair going 197, steed 184, Bam at 165 and Heiser at 174. I had good hopes about Roller, but so far he’s been underwhelming. Hopefully he gets on track I believe he could be a good one

If you are referring to Teague Travis, it was announced a week or so ago he’s now at Mizzou and will finish his eligibility there.

Also, Carter Young is at Maryland.

Yep Teague Travis went to Mizzou and Carter Young went to Maryland.  I still think after christmas we see Cael Hughes depart and along with Brayden Thompson, just my gut feeling. Lastly, I would love to see Jamison and Swiderski battle for 149!

It is unfortunate that Jamison couldn't make CC.

I don't think so. Travis and Young were both seniors and down to their final semester. Thompson and Hughes both have plenty of eligibility left, and Hughes has been injured this.

Wrong.  Look it up Travis has already committed to Mizzou and Young committed to Maryland.

Wrong about what? Lol I think you misread what I said. I know they are transferring out... the point is they waited until they only had one semester remaining to do so. That's a very different situation from Thompson and Hughes

I doubt Sinclair would want to go up. I think he wants to stay close to 86 kg.

Without being in the room and knowing the philosophy of how wrestlers are coached: lightweights, middle, etc...  Individual development with technique/strategy, I just wonder how much of a jump Moore could take to get to the next level?  We know his style is dangerous and he can "end up on top" in any given match, or flat on his back.  Having KO in the room in a coaching capacity, and tweaking little things, might up Moore's statistical probabilities, which in laymen's terms means, "less going for broke!"

I also think Cam Steed's career is in limbo with all his injuries.  He's never been completely healthy for a season. That may also become an opportunity for one of the upcoming youngsters.

I'm not ready to already be looking past 25-26 yet.  I've been critical of coaching from time to time and want to see how the team progresses to the "meat and potatoes" of the season, starting with Northern Iowa on Sunday.

Then he would logically want to go up. Less/no cutting for 197 whereas 184 is 5 pounds less than 86kg...

i am an idiot on the internet

Yeah but to be a “full 197” you’d probably wanna be 205+
