I'm glad the National Championship is going to be televised. Is there a sports bar close by? They usually have 30 TV's showing sports. You can ask them to turn one of them to wrestling. They are generally pretty good about that.

I have family coming over for dinner. I was hoping i could just throw it on and mute it so i could watch and socialize. I doubt my wife would be happy with me running off to a sports bar.

Isn’t part of the goal of National Duals to grow the sport?  If so, it makes sense for the finals to be shown by a service that people besides wrestling fans actually have.

Not really, casual fans aren’t likely to watch the early rounds. Also, another goal of the event is as a fundraiser, and my understanding is ESPN paid the most money for the finals, and Flo paid the most money for the early rounds

You said you wanted new fans. Put the whole tournament on espn then. More run time equals more opportunity for new eyes. You can twist yourself into knots and say casual fans this and more money that but youre just being inconsistent. More people would watch the entire thing if its on one service. More people would have the opportuinty to see it if it was on espn. Anyways i dont really care what you think.

Well NCAA’s are similar with I believe only the finals and maybe the semis on ESPN and the earlier rounds on ESPNnews or whatever. Besides, I said that was “part of” the goal.  There are multiple parts.  So you’re not going to watch any of it because the finals are on a service that you don’t get but a lot of other people do?

Btw, search Ohio State Iowa on YouTube and it looks like there is a channel from China or something posting it there.

Fork is very odd with this stuff.  ESPN also has d1 nationals, does he realize this?

ESPN2 has a way bigger audience for this stuff, even amongst wrestling fans, and is cheaper than Flo.

His arguments make zero sense and he clearly doesn't understand the bidding process.

And he also says "duel meet."
