Its not the unions. The laws literally allow corruption. Alderpersons get paid off by businesses or the businesses don't get permits. As always, you have no idea what you're talking about.

And the unions take full advantage of the using the corruption.  Unions are corrupt as fu&$. Anyone that think otherwise is ignoring the facts.   But you already know that

Businesses routinely pay off aldermen. Unions have nothing to do with it. You're living in the 70s. Welcome to 2025. Unions exist, but not nearly as powerful as they were.

Never said they were as powerful (and that’s a good thing).  I said they’re corrupt. Always will be.

Not generally. I'm sure there's some corruption somewhere, but completely dwarfed by the correlation occurring involving businesses.

Then there’s no need to ever bail out a public sector pension

Bs. People agree to jobs partially based upon that being part of their compensation package. If govt promises it, they gotta pay it. Too bad so sad. Pay what u agree to.

Were unions always corrupt in your opinion? If so what makes you believe that?

I support 90% of labor Unions or at least what they originally were designed to do, I support their initial mission.

I do not support professional unions.

Argument to moderation (false compromise, middle ground, fallacy of the mean, argumentum ad temperantiam) – assuming that a compromise between two positions is always correct.

Lesser of two evils can still be evil to some degree. Example: The ACA was a compromise to lower health care costs by spreading the cost out to more people. But it did continue to allow health insurance companies to profit from denying people coverage for their health care. Which is not evil(because I don't think evil exists) but it allows bad people to continue doing bad things for profit.
#2 housing crisis bail out. It saved the economy of our country and much of the rest of the world. But, like above, continued to allow bad people to continue doing bad stuff, for profit. Seems like the phrase 'for profit' can be associated for a lot of the bad stuff going on in our country right now. Please convince me otherwise.
