Getting fired simply for saying that Charlie was an idiot, liar, etc? Simply because he's dead? Celebrating his murder is clearly wrong, but the vast majority of the talk about him from the left, including on here, is not doing that at all. 

Be careful what you wish for, because what goes around comes around. 

Maybe during the next administration we'll fire anybody that criticizes lefty political activists. Or does it only count as bad after they've been assassinated? Is this what you truly want?

Absolutely not, but employers in the pvt sector should have that right and also public sector if their work rules explicitly allow it.

THis is very different from celebrating his death, so I think you're really trying to change the subject here because you don't want to deal with the issue.

Most companies can fire you for no reason at all, let alone behaviors that reflect poorly on their decision to employ you.
