Valiev hurt.  Either it's real bad or he's a great actor.

you can visually see his knee pop in the replay right before he screams

Easier said than done. Carr has never seen someone at this level on this stage and I don't think he lost the match. Doesn't mean Carr's not a gamer but Sidakov has been one of the best in the world for a decade for a reason.

Everyone knows that Sidakov is that guy.  Carr wrestled better.  The only one to take actual shots (not feigned/fake shots) and got in deep.  Carr just had a lapse, just like with Valiev.

Yeah, he is definitely hurt.  Getting steamrolled now.

Lose to Carr and you’d still have your knee.  Maybe think about that next time!!!

Funny but not!  😅🤣😬

The "Democratic" People's Republic of Korea.  What a joke.  . The regime is a hereditary dictatorship that severely represses its people, and its practices stand in direct opposition to the concepts of democracy and human rights.

What's interesting is that amongst his people, he is of larger size.  To his folks, he is like Trent Hidlay in size.

What does North Korea do for their champion wrestlers?

They don't throw them in prison.

Happy they called that a 1 for Iran there and not 2.  It was the same position that Carr got 1 at rather than 2, so I am less pissed.

To be clear, he did get 2 points, because it was 1+1 (fleeing).

Did Bahrain buy a team, btw?  They have so many wrestlers in medal matches, or close to it.

I'm going to guess they get an apartment or something.

Found this excerpt that says you are correct.

I wish they penalized negative wrestling more, regardless of what time during the match it was.

We would see more action in the first from wrestlers like Valiev and Sidakov (I just mean the guys who make end sprints) and we would see guys like the Iranian at 79 KG, who legitimately did nothing the entire second period, do more.
