The Obama’s are worth what.   Almost 300 million.   They had to pay for their own food in the White House?   How did they survive.  Crazy.   They had to pay for their own kids travel.   What if regular Americans had to pay for their own food and kids travel!!!!   Not fair at all.   I can’t believe that any of the other first ladies have not complained about this yet. Thoughts or comments?

Does he even pay his fair share in taxes.  I pay more than 18%
 

Today, the President released his 2015 federal income tax returns. The President and the First Lady filed their income tax returns jointly and reported adjusted gross income of $436,065. The Obamas paid $81,472 in total tax. The President’s effective federal income tax rate is 18.7 percent.

Why did the Obamas send there daughter's to private schools?  The President is a public position, weren't public schools in DC good enough for them.  If not then why not talk to the teacher union boss and fix the issue.

I mean I'm fine with the president and whoever is living with him in the White House having all their living expenses paid for... Not a normal job and it's one less thing I would like them to worry about

The White House Historical Association says only three presidents' children have attended public schools (source, additional source). Those three belong to Jimmy Carter, Theodore Roosevelt, and Taft.

For Obama, he said it was due to security, privacy, and the private system was deemed as the best fit (they attended a private school in Chicago before Obama became president). He did acknowledge the DC school system was struggling.
