Just a break from the monotony…

Drove to Chicago this weekend to take my son to Shedd and the Chicago Children’s Museum… we also hit up the Illinois Beach State Park

Super impressed with the children’s museum… This summer we’ve been to roughly 10 of them across the nation and it is probably the second best one (second to Indianapolis)

No fishing was separate afternoon outing, dry fly yesterday.

Left the tropics for my old stomping grounds for the weekend, cruising a 40 year old corvette (my favorite generation of the corvette). I’ve had two of these in the past, I think I have the fever for my third.

I say this cautiously, but today was that day us south Floridians always dream of this time of year.  The day you can open all the windows and sliders around the house and enjoy the cool air outside.  And this year, we do so without a sniff of a hurricane over the summer.  Cheers
