Actually Spencer started wrestling some matches that season and shortly after Suriano showed up at the weight Spencer decided to not finish the season.  I believe Spencer knew he needed to be 100 percent to beat suriano and wasn't close to 100 percent that season.

Suriano didn't wrestle until second semester beginning January 9.

Lee wrestled three matches that season and the last was 12/21.

I believe Spencer Lee was not scared of Suriano considering he beat him for an NCAA title already and just needed to fix his 16 torn ACLs

i was in Florida where he wrestled that year, he definitely wasn't cruising along and I severely doubt he was thinking about suriano.

Actually, what I said was entirely accurate.

Spencer wrestled, was hurt and out for the season - THEN Nicky Skeletor decided to wrestle.  Very easy to prove...

Everyone knew Suriano was training in Michigan and going 125 before second semester started.

Suriano has said that his heart is set on the big screen. Wrestling is just a stepping stone. He started to enter his Weird Nick phase right around the time he started taking acting lessons, which I figured was his way of being some sort of social media personality that could open doors to other opportunities. It's hard to tell though, if the weird stuff was schtick or if he's really like that.

Yeah Suriano's an interesting case with all this.  So damn talented, and yet really does not give off the impression that he wants to do much with the sport at this point.  Yet, he continues to enter tournaments.  I guess it's what keeps us all entertained.

That being said - there's a reason people were calling him Nicky Dahmer at one point.  Often feels like he's often trying to imitate what he thinks a charismatic person is.

Didn’t he take improv classes at Rutgers? Lol. Feel like I heard something like that.
