It's my understanding that the staff proposed a path for Seth to stay on but he wasn't willing to follow the stipulations. One of the other wrestlers that was involved with the Seth Gross shenanigans was willing to walk the path back and eventually made it onto the starting lineup. Still, big what if

Ok, no response to my earlier question.  I figured as much as the only stipulations not followed are either in your head or made no sense.   Nobody would expect someone from out of state with a likely large scholarship to continue to enroll at a school when he's kicked off the team and likely now has to pay his own way.  I think in Seth's case, if I recall correctly, the charges were later mostly dropped or made misdemeanors, but I think the legal process took time and maybe he didn't want to put his wrestling career on hold and couldn't easily afford to pay his own way and maybe didn't want to continue at Iowa given the circumstances.  The other kid you refer to was from Iowa and may not have gotten much money at all and may have had little to lose by continuing at Iowa.  I also think the kid you referred to only started a handful of matches, never qualified for NCAAS and otherwise had a relatively short-lived career.  The situations appear very different.  Perhaps, Brands didn't expect the success that Seth would have and was ok having him kicked off the team.  Glad it all worked out in the end for Seth though.  Hopefully, it will work out for Williams whether he stays or not in IC.

I think most all at OSU thought it a great thing that JW was getting a fresh start at ALR with a great coach and close to home.  Seems all went well there so why did he leave?  Probably the money.  He is a kid who should never ever have a drink, kind've like CM needed to stay away from the weed and the munchies.  Wonder who's idea was the money thing?  Nice kid, lot of talent but issues.

Chill out muchacho. I was trying to find the interview of Logan Ryan (the other guy that was dismissed and then rejoined the team) and Brands that talked about the process needed for getting back on the team. The closest I found was an article from the Waterloo Cedar Falls courier about Logan and what he had to do to get back on the team but I know I listened to an interview where Tom Brands addressed this and himself stated that Logan Ryan was "willing to do the work". I thought I would find the interview on flo or atleast the Des Moines register but so far the search has proven cumbersome on mobile.

My cousin owns a great bbq joint down the street from the UALR campus and was willing to give JW a Free bbq pork samich every month! I still can't believe he left Okie State Lite to go to Iowa...SIGH

You're the one trying to dredge up old sh*t and I don't even know why you bring up Logan Ryan, nobody else did.  Its like you are a spurned Iowa fan who still holds a grudge against Seth for leaving and having success elsewhere.  I think Seth has commented on that night several times and he's the first to admit it wasn't his proudest moment and a learning lesson for him.  But he's moved on and from all accounts has not gotten into trouble since and been a role model.  You think SDSU would sign him, Wisconsin would sign and hire him as coach and MATPAC would sign him if they were concerned about his conduct?  Geez, time for you to move on.

Sweet baby Jesus you are a crazy one.

I am not bitter that Seth Gross left. Quite the opposite - I thought it was a good idea that he left, was happy to see his career take off, and I have been a huge fan since, going so far as to promote his YouTube channel on here multiple times. All I said, in response to a question by another poster, was that I heard and read from multiple sources, including Tom Brands, that there was a road back for Seth but for whatever reason it didn't take. Nowhere was there negativity or malicious intent, that was all your projection. Get help. Or at least learn to read the words that are written instead of infusing them with nonsense that isn't there.

Mad Come On GIF by UEFAthe kid has so much talent.  They need to just assign him a babysitter to watch him 24/7 so he can bring home a title for the hawks

Well it didn't work for the Focus.  Actually we don't know but what it kept him from doing something but it didn't prevent him from doing what he did to get kicked out.

LOL.  You are precious!  You get called out for your nonsense, try to deflect, make personal attacks and go a bit crazy!  I'm fine but not sure about you.
