Lost in the upsets at 70kg and Zahid beating Dake- feels like not enough has been said about the Carr - MM matchup…

Really impressed by the adjustments Carr made and to beat him in two straight was not on my bingo Carr(d). Didn’t see much of MM playing the head games he usually does which was interesting. Although he was still moving forward and hand fighting hard he just always had the look of someone on the ropes the whole time.

Hoping Carr brings home some hardware although the weight class is a brutal one internationally.

MM looked off in both matches.

Whether that was due to Carr or some unknown, additional factor, I don’t know.

Agreed. If MM had won there would have been plenty-o- talk.

Carr was better yesterday.

You know I did think it's possible that the circumstances with Ben could be weighing heavy on him recently so not an excuse but if you had to point to something mentally that could be it... these guys are separated by such a small amount of talent/skill/speed and strength that even something like that mentally could be enough to throw someone off

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

After watching the earlier match with Carr out of breath I figured he was done. Apparently made some changes & took some of the aggression from Messenbrink this time.

Good luck to him in the Tournament.

part of it was that at the open carr looked like he'd never seen a knee pull before and got hit with it 3 times i think, this time he waited on it and scored on a reshot, or more concisely, Carr wrestled really stupidly the first time.
