How does this go?

125: Poulin dec. Peterson (3-0 ISU)

133: Ayala dec. Frost (3-3)

141: Frost dec. Bailey (6-3 ISU)

149: Echemendia dec. Either (9-3 ISU)

157: Johnson dec. Whoever (12-3 ISU)

165: Caliendo tech Riggins (12-8 ISU)

174: Kennedy/Arnold maj. Gaitan (12-12)

184: Ferrari dec. Dean (15-12 Hawks)

197: Elam dec. Endine (15-15)

285: Bastida dec. Kueter (18-15 ISU)

125, 133, 141, 149, 157, and HWT seem like highly competitive match-ups. 6 match-ups without heavy favorites in such a competitive dual is a lot of fun. This should be an awesome dual if both teams are healthy.

I'd take Williams at 149. I think Brands might use one of Ludington's dates for this one but Elam should still win if healthy. If Caliendo goes 157, that would make a big difference

Iowa State will find a way to lose this handily.

On paper, they should have a very good chance to win.

They typically do.

I can tell you, the rumor is Ech wants to go 141 next year.  He got a little extra $$ to go 141 last year and then he got sick. Now, as you stated, it only makes sense to have Frost 141, but Ech is not big at all.  He weighed around 148 after practice.

Why not do a comparison of Sacred Heart and Hofstra.   They are as relevant as any school in Iowa.

Relevant like correcting someone on Duke's last day of school for the year...:classic_dry:

Ech is massive, too, even if he isn't particularly heavy.

I almost would like to see him put effort in to growing in to 157lbs and have Paniro at 149.

I just don't like Paniro at 157lbs.

Add to this rumors of ortega potentially getting eligibility at 133 for isu. Also hearing potential of zerban heading to ames also hearing that connor euton could be heading down to 157. could be a wild duel thats for sure.

I doubt we see Kueter back for the ISU dual.   No inside knowledge just initially sounded like that we would be a quick return timeline and I would guess they take their time and bring him back slowly.

This will all be interesting.  125 will be Stevo.  133, man I just don't see this as a guarantee, on paper it should be, but I promise Osmany gives everyone in that room all they want at 133. His hurdle is food, and he is not disciplined at all. Grice is much better at 133 than 125, and hell I heard Meza wants to go 133 now. 141-174.   Euton is really, really tough. He is not flashy by any means, but he is hard-nosed tough. There are so many ways that line up good go.  There will be some good kids watching from the chairs this year, which is a great problem to have.
