AND yes... good showing for the Green Wave (even though, they should be in the National Preps vs NJ Public... but that's my opinion.)

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Very true I think that weight is unbelievably weak but still he is cadet eligible and blitzed the field. Really wish Luke wrestled. Knox could bring us a medal but Luke was probably as close of a lock to get gold as you could have and its so hard to know where knox is at with the competition hes had.

Luke will go to u23s, I don't hate seeing how someone else stacks up against the international field at 57

I think unbelievably weak is harsh way of putting it. I would say that the weight is unbelievably young. It's semantics, but I don't think the athletes in the field are weak, I think a lot of them probably have 2 or 3 more years of eligibility in U20s. It's kind of shocking, because when you think about college guys, the only guys missing from this field are Lilledahl and Robinson (obviously the two best 125s in college with u20 eligibility). But the depth at 125, from senior down to U20s is very thin when it comes to depth of guys ready to compete on the world stage.

Definitely. His hitlist today is full of names people will soon know if they don't already: Vincent Kilkeary, Mack Mauger, Shamus Regan, Nate Desmond, Antonio Mills.

Lilledahl would be the class of the field, but I expect Knox to medal at Worlds and if Ignacio is already good enough to get past Knox, I would expect him to medal as well.

That's fair I guess I should say I think there are a lot of talented guys for their age but Ignacio just lost twice at cadet trials 4lbs lighter. Now he lost to rocklin zinkin who I think is a stud and grey burnett on criteria who won the weight and is also very very good. However watching him kinda kill this field after taking 4th at cadets gives me some pause.

I'll be curious of Ignacio can keep it competitive with Knox. If I'm being honest, I'd expect it two be two techs. But I never would have predicted him making the finals to face Knox, so we'll see what happens. Either way, his stock took a big jump today. He was ranked #13 at 120 and just beat the #4 at 126.

Does anyone know what u23 weights are even up for grabs? I believe 57-79 at least all have guys that won it through senior open or trials if they want it.

I think its worth noting cadets is 2, 2 minute periods which I think makes a huge difference I also think he looks like a pretty big kid even at 57kg so the cut may have sucked for him.

74kg is Joey Blaze as long as Mesenbrink declines it. Correct?

If they want it, by virtue of being Senior national team members (top 3) or top 4 AND U23.

57kg - LL
61kg - Blaze
65kg - Blaze (even if he loses true 3rd; Hardy too old).
70kg - Duke
74kg - MM
79kg - Haines
92kg - Barr
