Doesn't change fact that it's a god given right for woman to remove fetus from her own body.

Currently that god given right is up to each state.  As it should be.

Abortion wasn't possible back then so it doesn't address it but it did address freedom and liberty.

You don't have to kill it but mom has the right to have it removed from her body either way. Let it live though if the machine can keep it alive.

i know... lets let all the people who aren't viable survive on their own

how do you like those apples, jack.

Ain't the woman's problem. Shouldn't be forced to be a life support machine.

All living things have DNA. Including sperm, mosquitos, cockroaches, flies, and rodents. Pathetic argument.

so you dont recognize that different DNA proves a DIFFERENT living being

So you can’t show me in writing. Got it. So no god given right by the constitution like YOU SAID THERE WAS.

Ok, well...if in this particular case, the person in question is a biological women, then they deserved to win.

My issue is the reflexive nature to fight on this issue.

We are quick to judge and I'm guilty of it in this case.... but it was more @red viking who I think is a smart person...or @El Luchadorwho thinks in the same linear manner. Everyone bad is on the left, everyone good is on the right.

We can be intellectually honest and maybe take a second. The Algerian Boxer was an example of someone who was immediately trashed unfairly. DSD is not trans...

But when we see something that's just...objectively wrong... we should call it out, even if we view it as a left wing or right wing issue.

As I'm sure you know, children have been born with both M and F features (ex: penis and vagina) for as long as anyone can remember. In some cases, the gender of this tiny, still mostly undeveloped child was simply unclear.

The uncaring, judgmental, pitchfork wielding jerks who post in forums just like this one have decided it's simple - one or the other. But they make the huge mistake of not realizing it isn't always anywhere near that simple.

When doctors can't make the call. The parents are pulled aside and requested to "assign" their child's gender.

As these tiny babies develop both physically and mentally into young children - the parents start to see and understand much more than they did when their child was a tiny peanut they could hold in the palm of one hand.

I don't have any answers to this one. (Nobody else does either, some just like to pretend they do.)

My instinct is to say - just leave them alone! They've already got more than enough to deal with. Keep out of their personal lives. As much as I believe that should work, it doesn't.

So, let's start with an example - tiny baby is assigned M at birth by parents because he had a penis (as well as a vagina) both underdeveloped at the point where a doctor couldn't make the call. As the child grows the penis no longer develops and becomes a tiny, underdeveloped, non-functioning, useless appendage - while the vagina develops and the child becomes what doctors would clearly recognize as F. To help try to make the child's life normal, they perform surgery to remove the useless appendage, and give them normal 'junk' - and the child's gender is reassigned to F.

Nothing wrong with that story other than it would be heavily emotionally painful for them and their entire family and that I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Then the folks with pitchforks come out and decide she's "just a tranny" and "she doesn't belong in the locker room" and "she's a pervert" and "they're grooming her" and "she should wait until she's 18", and boo... hisss... boo.

It's heartbreaking that these small-minded folks can't make room in their tiny minds to have empathy for children who have been going through more than most of these folks could ever imagine.

I still think my instinct is right - just leave them alone!

Leave it to them, their families, their doctors and everyone else who is willing to participate and care and be responsible with them. (It's not politics, it's personal.)

I like to wait and hear what the actual facts are, but I googled and found that a trans athlete won in CIF(and in retrospect, it wasn't even track, the link was for something else).

I have a strong opinion on Men who transition to Women and they compete vs Women. That's black and white IN MY opinion. Lia Thomas is a selfish person with mental health issues. Not because she's trans, but because she competed in what was obviously an unfair event.

But DSD is...an ENTIRELY different thing... and it's beyond me if they should be allowed to compete.

About 1 in 140 Olympians(Female) have DSD.
It's normally about 1 in 20,000

I don't know how to regulate that. What about LeBron? He was born with the genetics that made him 6'8 260 and have a 4.56 40 as a Soph in HS(when he was the Nations top WR prospect).

1-Walking around in a women's locker room with your penis out 2 years after identifying as a Women=Sick and should be banned.

2-DSD after spending your whole life living as a Gender and often not even knowing?

And by the way, not all DSD have little dicks. Some of them have internal testes or whatever. They don't necessarily know.

So I have no opinion on this other than...I think it is cruel to talk about it in this manner or pretend to be an authority.
