not only wanted to...but if i remember right... they did.

Trump hates the IRS. That's why. No other reason. That's basically the rationale for any decision the government makes. If Trump hates it then goodbye. Doesn't matter if it actually does something positive.

Because Trump promised to downsize the IRS. Not because he felt it was wasteful, but because he doesn't like them.

Trump doesn’t think it’s necessary to have 80,000 IRS agents going after people’s tip money

Couldn't the IRS be run by AI robots?  When one comes to your door and says

IRS rarely if ever audits waiters or bartenders. That's a bs argument. The fat cat tax cheaters hiding their assets and coming up w sham tax writeoffs (like Trumptard himself) are the ones that are disproportionately audited.

Red Viking has one thing right.   The deficit is still going to be there (even though he never complained under Biden) and that is not good.   He wants to tax his way out of it while increasing spending.   That doesn't work.

What is the current spending level?   $6.8 Trillion.

What is proposed spending level?    It should not be  more than $6.8 Trillion.

What is projected treasure receipts?    This year $5.2 Trillion.   That  means they need to cut 30% of the proposed spending to make ends meet.   Or they could cut 15% this year, and let income grow the next year.   Then cut another 15% the next year and we are balanced.   No auto increases in the budget.   Hold to current levels and cut that to meet the projected amount of income.

Then Moodys will be happy and we will be on the way to better fiscal discipline.

I thought facts didn’t care about feelings?

They don't. If only RV would take two seconds to Google crap before letting the estrogen take over and typing his feelings that he tries to push off as facts. He thinks the louder he gets the more it makes something a fact.

100% lie. I did express my disappointment at his handling of the budget including the deficit.

Ok. So they may audit tip earners. They certainly give good reason to, since they can do easily cheat too. I don't have a problem with them also auditing groups that can easily cheat, instead of limiting audits only to rich people.

Somehow I don't think what I wrote was a 100% lie.    I think the assertion that it was was a lie, or an overreaction to the max.

Yup. Dont carre. Auditing them isn't a bad idea anyway so I say go for it. Anybody that is likely to cheat should be fair game for auditing.
