You added quotes about an entirely different topic. Not such a great memory after all.

There are insufficient goat quotes related to freestyle and cstar because there are literally no quotes about him in freestyle cause he hasn’t won anything of value in freestyle.

My brother..

All of Dake's Golds.. he was 27 or older

All of David Taylor's golds.. 27 or older and DT was 32 when he won his last World Gold.

All of Burroughs golds other than 2011 happened when he was 25 or older and his last gold was at 33

Gilman was 26.

Stieber was 25.

Micic was 27.

Snyder won gold at 26.

How many world gold medalists have been won by wrestling under 25 in the last 20 years in men's FS? Cejudo, Snyder.. and?

I was talking Olympic golds. USA wrestlers are older on average because they have to wait till college is over. But still, Olympic gold after 25 or 26 is quite rare.

we are saying Cstar hasn’t  “peaked” in freestyle because he is young.

Why is this about age? Yes some people win world championships at 18 and some at 40. Why would that be evidence that Starocci is at his peak? How much freestyle has he trained and competed in? I have a hard time believing that he won’t get better at freestyle if he chooses to focus 100% on it.

Now, he may switch to mma so this could end up being his peak in freestyle, but it has nothing to do with age and everything to do with his training.

lolno cmon. I'm a Hilger fan but there are levels to this. I'll field all bets for O/U 9.5 minutes total between the two matches next month and I'm taking the under. I'll happily be wrong but I'm confident.

I stand by my last reply that I would take the under as well, FWIW.

That said, Pindrickson wrestled both of them at WTT and one of them ended early and the other did not.

Tomato cans.

so when questioned about the early tomato cans on the schedule at the good good psu…..   a typical answer is all the freestyle training going on in happy valley.  That so many of them are making big runs for tournaments like this or final x etc.   convenient answer to say the least.  Now…. Cstar just needs time to peak.   No mention of staying in college for extra years to get his 5th.

Snyder won at 19 first.

You spend a lot of time saying "I have an anti-PSU bias" without actually saying those words. If you just say those one time you can save yourself a whole lot of posting.

The general consensus for a long time seemed to be not that you did not compete for medals until after college but that you did not compete for a world team spot until then.

I believe we have 6 of our 20 final x spots this year filled by guys with u23 eligibility still this year which is absolutely insane.

U23 Eligible

57-Luke

61-Jax

70-Duke

74-Messenbrink

79-Haines

92-Barr

5 of them are PSU also! These 6 automatically have the u23 spots if they want them. Those who could also gain a u23 auto spot by making national team- M. Blaze 65, J. Blaze 74 (who still has u20 eligibility apparently!), Sinclair 92

J.Blaze and Sinclair would depend on Messenbrink and Barr opting out

Joey may have 2-3 years of u23 eligibility left I think he was an 18 year old freshman and never used a RS. I am really interested if after levi graduates this year if we see MM go up and perhaps Joey joins his brother to wrestle 165 at PSU. If Duke can hold 157 its a pretty seemless fit because James can red shirt and then go 165.

You are forgetting the Kasak in that equation

He is currently 19.

For the record, freshman Josh Barr is 21.  Barr may be older than Haines.

When I was 21, I was headed into my senior year of college.

It is all by the rules, but I find it quite interesting.

Kasak is a hoss but imagining him going from 141 to 165 would be pretty crazy. That being said he seems pretty big for 157 so maybe thats in the cards.

OK.  That was what I originally thought, but something on instagram changed my mind when I searched before.

So he's the same age as freshman Josh Barr.

where can I see barr's official age? hes 20 on UWW which usually means he turns that age during that year. So I would assume based on that he is 19 or 20.

Yeah he mentioned it in an interview some time after NCAAs but I can't remember which one. I see the Instagram thing you're talking about, that appears to be a post about his gf for her bday

The age disparity in wrestling is wild.
