Thomas' offense in neutral.

BUT he gets on board w/ a TD

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

But it wasn't feet to back. It was a crackdown position?

No, Barr came off his knees (to his feet), I thought?  It was all very quick, and as you and @okokzach have said - all the more reason to call a challenge.

I just went back and rewatched, you are right. Barr got off his butt and to his feet in a low squat when he pulled Sinclair through. It was a correctly called very close four. I didn't see it in real time, but maybe the tiger style corner did.

Physical prime is around 26 - 27.

Edit: that's when it ends...downhill after that

read what I said. Carter is not in his freestyle prime. He's been focused on freestyle for 8 weeks.

@BruceyB

Yeah I think what reinforces the 4 is that Barr was never on his butt.  He was on his feet defending that takedown the entire time.

He can match tthe athleticism, for sure.

I am far more interested in this match rather than Big Meech.  Just not a good matchup for him.

I hear you, but you said he hits freestyle prime in a few years...and by that time physical prime is over.

I'm not as familiar with how that position is called in FS. Do they typically call it the same as folk?

If you have a chest lock it isn't a TD. I thought they called the match pretty spot on. Dake ran a lot at the end and got the caution for it. The TD was close, but not quite there.

He just took one of the goats to the brink and was a second away from winning. If he stays focused on freestyle through 2028, he's going to be a monster

Kyle dake is a goat yes.  But he’s 34 years old too.

David Taylor was 27 when he got on his first team and won his first title. Kyle Dake was 27 when he made his first team and won his first world title. Who you have to beat to get on the team matters. Now you can argue that Dake and Taylor couldn't beat a prime Burroughs at his ideal weight class while Starocci failed to beat a 34 year old Dake who is wrestling up 24 pound from where he competed last year.

Locking your hands around the chest doesn't automatically stop a TD.

AB hasn't won a world title yet and he also hasn't hit his freestyle peak. Guys peak at different times.

Sure but not many are winning gold after 25. Who was the oldest in USA in modern times? Maybe GOAT Bruce Baumgartner who won his second gold at, what 31 in 1992?

Final X is going to be great to be a HWC fan.  They only have to watch one weight and can go on about the rest of their day.   Poor Ok State and NLWC fans are going to pay attention to a bunch of weights and spend hours watching.

Final X wrestlers with college eligibility  Jax Forrest  4 years Oklahoma State, Lillidahl 3 years, Duke 4 years, Mess 2 years, Haines 1 year, Barr 3 years Penn State.
