I predicted 3 losses in the quarters but even I am shocked.

#1 Lilledahl loses to #8 Seymour, who Lilledahl beat earlier

#8 Davis is dominated 12-1 by #1 Byrd (not surprised by this one)

#1 Kasak looks winded at the whistle and loses to #8 Blaze

I expect Barr and Kerk to lose too.

Been saying this all year. "Best team ever"

Sadly, it looks like you were right. Nebraska meanwhile is killing it...could they overtake PSU for the team title?!

They have a night at the hotel like the Pitt crew did at Midlands a number of years back?

Bartlett WON

Kasak LOST

I don’t know what’s goin on with Kasak, but everything else for the most part kinda going as expected. Barr just looked really good, that was a beat down

Kasak looked like he ran a 10k before his match started.

Barr looked better than expected.  He looked super sluggish yesterday.

Kassak gassed out like that earlier this year too

Yeah it was weird, he didn’t have much left partway through the 2nd Period. I thought Lilledahl would struggle with the Seymour/Smith winner, still projected him as a slight favorite. He’s a completely different guy against those body types

Six or seven in the semis. All wrestlers still alive. Seems like a good performance to me.

By seed Lilledahl and Kasak should have won.  Davis wasn't expected to beat Byrd.

Which match? It happens and “holding on” is typical for him after some more dynamic stuff in 1st periods. But he’s consistently pretty solid in those situations. You’ve seen what he’s done to Taylor this year and how he finished last year, he’s a legit 1 seed

Anyway, that was the most disappointing one this session to me.

I'm pretty sure PSU has almost clinched the title. Would be crazy if NU won it, huh?

I don't think anybody expected Byrd to eviscerate Davis though, that was unexpected. I was expecting something like 7-4.

Recognizing upfront the extreme troll job and/or insanity of the topic heading, basically this was a wash round.  Davis had very little chance.  Lilledahl is a true freshman dealing with the quick turn off the scale Friday morning for the first time who ran into an inspired tough good wrestler.  Nothing notable there.  Kasak was a pretty big surprise but that's offset by the fantastic performance by Barr, whom many had counted out.  Everyone else took care of business.

I’d say if they lose two of their three blood round matches and five of the seven semis, could still be iffy. A failure rate like that might keep things open deeper into Saturday. But also depends of course on what Nebraska and OSU do. If Nebraska keeps having rounds like they just had, could still be in doubt to start tomorrow.

Actually Byrd creamed him 7-1 last time, so yeah it was kind of expected.

There's a big difference between 7-1 and 12-1.
