It is coming.

Penn State has a nice history with Cael & Co of wrestling matches to help some schools. They show up & the gym is packed with fans. Even the hometown folks knowing PSU is probably going to shellac their team, hosting PSU helps promote the sport & gives their program a boost.

With former PSU great David Taylor now coaching OSO - this one will happen.  Plenty of open dates for them to meet in a home & home format. It is coming, no doubt about it.

OSU doesn't need help getting people to show up and promote the sport.

But it would be great if they schedule each other.

Schedule one out of conference tomato can would be good. I think I was told this year the tomato can non conference theory was growing the sport.  So maybe this is anti pro fan(s) relative to wrestling ????

A big crowd for Oklahoma State is 4,000 compared to 15,000 for PSU.  Major vs. minor league.

If you're going to troll, at least troll with accurate numbers.

Average home attendance 2024 (2025 isn't available)

Iowa - 14,847

PSU - 7337

OSU - 5871

And OSU has come up quite a bit this year to almost 7500.  So if you want to say Iowa makes them both look minor league go ahead.  If you want to claim PSU is major league attendance compared to OSU, then you're just telling stories.

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

OSU/PSU is a natural rivalry, those teams should always wrestle.

A natural rivalry? No.. they're a rivalry now because it's pupil vs teacher. The programs have no history, no shared conference, no geographical proximity.

They are natural rivals because they are both elite teams.

No and Carl has refused to schedule ever since Suriano severely broke his foot, ankle, leg, lower extremities ... if drilling had healed it they'd prob still schedule.

Seems like OkSt has wrestled iowa the past few years, that’d be a tough dual schedule with iowa and Penn st on the non conference schedule

"Past few years?"  They've wrestled 58 duals, the first in 1954 but almost every year since 1977 after Gable changed Iowa.  There was little to no Big 10 competition back then.

This is a tremendous job of doubling down on being wrong.

Well, she did say a “big crowd” for OSU would be 4,000. I don’t know their attendance, but she is right that a big crowd for PSU is over 15,000… they had 15,998 at the Bryce Jordan center vs Iowa this year. Most of their duals are at Rec Hall which has a seating capacity of 6500, so that brings down the avg a lot even when they are sold out.

OSU's least-attended dual this year was during Christmas break and it still had attendance over 6,000.
