Can Hamiti win 174

There was a vast difference between this match with Keegan and when they met at the all star. He was very close to getting that escape at the end and if keegan did not get that trip at the time he did I dont know that he gets the takedown. I know that's a lot of ifs and buts, to me it feels like a winnable match for him will be a super fun style contrast with levi as well.

I think Haines is stylistically the worst matchup up for Hamiti but we'll find out soon enough.  If he gets through Haines then he does have a formula to beat KOT

I was thinking the reverse, that Hamiti's length and flexibility would limit Haines' scrambling, and Haines is comfortable with letting opponents get to his legs and working from spaghetti positions. KOT really had to work for those takedowns.

Haines has gotten really good at controlled scrambles, heavy hips, cutting the corner.  I think he'll break Hamiti's posture.  But that's why they wrestle!!!

Hamiti said he's improved a lot since transferring and wish he had this coaching sooner.  He's a threat for sure.

Did we ever hear from Hamiti what happened during his match with Mesenbrink at Big Tens last year? Some thought he gassed out while MM put his foot on the pedal. Others saw him limp off the mat. Either way, he was right there with Mesenbrink and coulda shoulda woulda won.

Off topic but I think dean could be incredible at freestyle. He is very scrambly but in a way that very rarely exposes his back. I could see him being an absolute menace going into that rubber knee and sitting the corner to crotch lift guys.

Im with Porta,  Haines strength, defensive posture, and positioning to structured for Hamiti quickness, funk

Hamiti may be very solid but don't forget that David Carr was 1-3-2-1 at NCAA's with only 6 career losses. Carr also just soundly beat the reigning olympic silver medalist at 74kg that soundly beat Kyle Dake.
