Was the wrestler himself actually involved or just his dad?

In the vid on fb (minnow) it shows him running into the stands.  It’s a crap vid in so far as you can’t really tell what started it or what is really going on.    I guess (according to fb) the opposing fans were chirping a lot at the dad.   He went and confronted him and a rumble started.   Then the son ran up to “help”.

I’ll see if I can find vid…

edit.  It’s elusive.  Did it maybe get taken down?  It’s defo a different angle than the one above.  It’s off to the right and Much closer / in the stands ish

In the one video, you can see Sr walking across in front of the stands and then heading up a few rows. Not good for him. Shows intent and not just heat of the moment.

I have heard for years the Dad was a clown and talked smack everywhere and was a "tough guy" because his son was so good...Dont think Dad ever did anything on the mat but lived thru son..His actions just cost his son a very special accomplishment

Will it have any impact on his recruitment? I assume not, but it sounds like dad could be a headache for Grey to deal with.

Good thing hes going to Cornell...Unless your a serial killer u can Wrestle for Cornell...Knox is 19 years old and could be facing a felony charge by NJ laws for HS events.. Initial reports was him and Dad were only 2 that were handcuffed

What's with the hardon for Cornell?

Wow, that sucks. The kid wins the match on the mat, then his douchebag dad starts a fight. Kid naturally runs in to defend his dad.

Hopefully the kid is allowed to continue in the tournament.

What's the beef between SJV and West Deptford? They're over an hour apart

I hear that WD has some of the worst fans in general. And SJV had won 10 of the previous 11 weights and so they were getting on SJV's case.

Fb reporting he’s out.  I think there are articles etc but to lazy to find.  Some people are recommending he “sue” and drop the case after the tourney because I guess he has to be able to compete while litigation is going on.  #soooooJersey

Sounds like he decided to jump in and join the fight. That's what cost him, nothing his dad did. He just decided to do that himself. If he had just left and not gotten involved, I doubt they do anything to him.
