What was interesting amid the ongoing judicial and legislative fight is that 83% of voters preferred cutting government spending to raising taxes.

Some 77% also supported a broad review of government spending. A massive 70% believe government spending is rife with waste and fraud and 69% support cutting spending by $1 trillion.

Sixty percent of voters said that DOGE is carrying out the need of the government to make significant cuts.

Turley in this article is pointing out that there are lawsuits against Trump for some of these things, as there should be.   But that is how our system works and it has worked well over the centuries.   The article is short but interesting.   But it appears the American people are with Trump on what he is doing for the most part.

Another good article.  We’ve got a conundrum.  We have people here who want to drastically cut defense spending when the larger, stupider budget item is servicing the debt - one trillion a year for interest.  Someone thinks it’s our responsibility to pay $50 million a year for condoms to prevent HIV among a population that won’t exercise their own initiative to prevent a disease that has known causes for decades.  Then in other parts of the world we spend millions to promote the activities that cause the disease.  We need a Congress that spends only the money they collect on only the programs that make sense.  We’ve already got the President.

Lmfao. Yah, cutting govt sounds great as long as you don't get specific, which means likely cutting programs that affect people. Totally rigged poll.

Here's facts about whats actually occurring: consumer sentiment, stock market and President Musks approval rating are ALL dropping.

Totally rigged Harvard Poll?   yeah, that's right.   Harvard did the poll.   We all know that everyone at Harvard watches fox news all day and more at night.   We all know that they are totally against illegal immigration, against trans sports crossovers, against abuse of Jews, against allowing liberal speakers to speak on campus, etc etc.   Yes, that Harvard, they rigged the poll.  Of course, I should have seen that.

The Harvard CAPS / Harris Poll is a monthly poll released by Harvard’s Center for American Political Studies, The Harris Poll, and HarrisX.

https://harvardharrispoll.com/press-release-february-2025/

FEBRUARY HARVARD CAPS / HARRIS POLL: 58% OF VOTERS ARE MORE SATISFIED WITH TRUMP'S JOB AS PRESIDENT THAN BIDEN

DEMOCRATIC PARTY APPROVAL HITS A RECORD LOW AT 36%, NOW 15 POINTS LOWER THAN THE GOP

72% OF VOTERS SUPPORT THE EXISTENCE OF A U.S. GOVERNMENT AGENCY FOCUSED ON EFFICIENCY INITIATIVES

VOTERS WANT UKRAINE TO NEGOTIATE A SETTLEMENT WITH RUSSIA, BUT MOST ARE OPPOSED TO TERRITORIAL CONCESSIONS AND WANT THE U.S. TO GIVE SECURITY GUARANTEES

Read the poll RV.   You'll find that Harvard runs the poll.   Totally rigged though.

Some additional bullets from the first link you left out:

  • Voters are split on Elon Musk and Mike Johnson.
  • 58% of voters say DOGE employees should not have access to sensitive information on Americans who benefit from government expenditure programs; including names, social security numbers, addresses, and incomes (Democrats: 75%; Republicans: 39%; Independents: 63%).
