Folkstyle on the brain syndrome:

A dysfunction prevalent among NCAA folkstyle wrestling fans that manifests with delusions regarding Senior Men's Freestyle wrestlers from foreign countries. These unshakable beliefs, completely detached from reality, include the idea that Senior Men's Freestyle wrestlers, including world champions, from what may be considered currently the most dynamic national team, would interrupt their international careers to enroll in US universities and compete in D1 wrestling at the university level. Some of the more delusional patients, many of which also experience anxiety, depression or hallucinations, participate in bizarre discussions and debates regarding which universities these international wrestlers would attend.

Ono isn't going to attend PSU, Iowa, or Oklahoma State.

He is at the NLWC. It's a good experience for him. Otoguro isn't going to attend Iowa. He is at the Hawkeye Wrestling Club. These guys are students of wrestling. They love the sport. They see the visit to a top-tier US Wrestling Club as a growth and learning experience.

Please seek professional help.

You may have broken our dysfunctional hearts but we'll keep posting about it!!

Ono has been living there for like a month and appears to own about 20 different combinations of PSU/NLWC apparel.  Oh and he can probably get paid a few hundred grand a year.  I’m not saying it’s definitely going to happen, but there’s a chance.

Jimmy stop replying to every post you always make zero sense. I loved this sight when you weren’t on it.

It will be interesting to listen to future interviews involving Ono to learn about his mindset and training techniques. His dominant single leg take down success might be just too much for Lee who we all know is vulnerable.

You don’t think they’d pay a dominant world champ a few hundred grand?   Starocci is surely getting at least $500k, probably more.  And Ono would likely actually bring in additional revenue by gaining Japanese fans

Otoguro is 26 years old and presumably has already graduated college.  Ono is 21 and presumably has not.   This is an apples and oranges comparison

Its happening in the NCAA that wrestlers can train with Team USA Wrestling, But logistically speaking is it possible for an NCAA student in the USA, to also train/ be sponsored and able to compete for his spot with the Japanese National FS Team?

Most people graduate college by 21, so why do you presume Ono h as not?

You do know what the cloning of Dolly the Sheep means in Iowa, right?

Now every kid in school can have the Prettiest Girlfriend in town.

Hurtful.  PSU is hurting at 133. Not even a #1 or #2 ranking.  The cupboard is bare.   Ono notices and does the honorable thing!
