“People Will Die”: The Trump Administration Said It Lifted Its Ban on Lifesaving Humanitarian Aid. That’s Not True.

"On Friday morning, the staffers at a half dozen U.S.-funded medical facilities in Sudan who care for severely malnourished children had a choice to make: Defy President Donald Trump’s order to immediately stop their operations or let up to 100 babies and toddlers die.

They chose the children."

As always, real people with real lives subject to the real consequences from the whims of a revenge-focused oaf.

What kind of father takes care of strangers while their own family is neglected?

The idea that we can’t do both is insanely idiotic.

Still waiting on all of those churches to solve food insecurity like Republicans promised during the last Trump administration, though. The tax cuts they passed have only made it worse.

Agree on the idea.
Now is not the time.

I’d like to see the govt claw back corruption $$ and put that in a new fund.

Sounds great. All for it. Don’t let kids starve to death while Donald and Elon use their superior intellects to figure it out.

Maybe the Biden family could start a foundation to feed the children.

Maybe Elon could. He is, purportedly, a very rich man. Several orders of magnitude richer than the Biden family.

Or maybe all of the mega churches could finally step up?

Between churches, private Americans, all types of medical doctors and nurses, hundreds of organizations, hundreds of billions of dollars is given out in money and free services to other counties. Then you have the federal government gives out hundreds of billions of dollars in money (aid) and free services to other countries. Then our military spends billions of dollars protecting other countries interests. Maybe a few other countries could step up to the plate and give of their money and free services. But America has given more than any other country defending freedom in this world. We have given of our National Treasure. The lives of our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, uncles, aunts, cousins, grand parents and friends. Add it all up. Its a lot.

Wonder if the kick backs the Biden’s took are part of his net worth or not?    Maybe 10% of the big guy funds should go to feed the needy.

I do my own thinking thank you.

Define an SLI and SLO both for health and budget.

If we are meeting the SLO for our family, and we have the budget, we can gladly help foreigners.

If you prioritize spending on other things before ensuring these basic needs are met, you will no longer be responsible for managing our finances.

Let’s take all of Biden’s ill-gotten gains and 10% of Elon’s net worth and fund USAID.

Sound good?

Much more fair to take Ill gotten gains than $ someone earned legally.

hadn’t musk donated approx 7 billion to charity.

I did google Biden’s charitable contributions and I don’t really see much.  Not that he didn’t give any but he sure doesn’t look like the charitable chap.

Donating to your own charity, which you are the chairman of, to save a lot more money on taxes, isn’t what I had in mind.

Also, The Musk Foundation doesn’t give enough money away to qualify as a charitable organization, either. Under federal law, they are required to give away 5% of their assets each year. It failed to do that for the third year in a row.

His charities don’t help people?   What’s worse.   Your charity that helps people or not paying taxes on you Ill gotten gains?   Talk about the wealthy not paying their fair share right?

They aren’t charities. They are shell companies.

We get that you don’t like him.   Did Biden pay taxes on his ill gotten gains?

The churches would love to help out but their money seems to be going elsewhere....

Just like our former President and most of his family members.. Just like about 75% of all the politicians in Washington DC. go Figure. Then you have 10 of thousands of churches that do everything right and help 10 of millions of people.

Plenty of people in North Carolina speak more highly of Samaritan’s Purse than FEMA.

Oh, that sounds official. Thanks!

If small churches were rebuilding everyone’s homes every time a natural disaster occurred, FEMA wouldn’t exist.

But, maybe it’ll go away now, and we’ll see how well that theory works in practice.
