Agree that Ferrari's style seems to translate well when the stakes get higher, but I'm still anxious to see him against some of the top-tier at 197 (Barr, Cardenas, Buchanan). We have not really seen him yet against the best guys, and I'm curious how his conditioning will be in those matches. If anyone remembers the match against Glazier last year before the splits and double-birds, he was definitely sucking wind at the end of that match.

Those matches were three years ago with some different variables in play.

It saddens me but I'm fairly confident in Ferrari being the favorite, I don't want him to win but his style just works.  Never get out of position, be patient, score with quick attacks that aren't conducive to counters, always get out from bottom quickly, stall ride for that RT point when needed.

This is why he's a NCAA champ.  Boring, but effective.  He's the Tony Nelson of 197 pounders.

Substance? Carrot top? wtf?

You're kind of like the Oompa Loompa of not being able to see above your nose.

I called you out on your ongoing BS above - "Posted Wednesday at 09:23 PM"

That's the one where your post was BS, and you were a babbling idiot (which is at least consistent.)

You're certainly a dim bulb - 25% at best.

Dopes like you keep posting with no substance, then singing the 'you have no substance' tune. You're pathetic.

IDK you seem to rely on insults and racist dog whistles. Seems more pathetic than I am TBH....

Barr is a 184 pounder.  I expect to see him there next season after Starocci leaves.

Also Gabe Dean's younger brother - but him got one NCAA title bumping up to 197 by overcoming size handicap with pace and good defense.

I think Ryder will be there, and Barr continues to grow into 197.

Hot take but I don’t think the Mirasola’s end up seeing the mat much. The bigger one is going to be a tiny heavyweight and the smaller one will lose to Barr. There are certainly people with more insight than me into that room, but from an outside perspective that’s what I’m leaning toward.

Interesting take.  We shall see.  Guessing PSU would be open to 285 portal acquistion at least for depth.  Have not looked at the rankings to see who might be out there with eligibility left that might be interested.  Also, do not know the recruiting landscape for 285 other than board mentions of a new generation Mocco.

We can meet halfway. At least the IDK part of your post is true.

And top game.

Max Dean beat one of the heaviest favorites of the 2019 NCAAs in Myles Martin because of it, as well.
