Like all Americans, I expect Donald Trump to stick with his promise to end the Russian annexation of Ukraine within 24hrs.

Will he? Check back here by 12pm EST tomorrow. Just under 22 hours to go.

If he does it outside of 24 hours, will you still complain that he ended that conflict?
mspart

If he gives away Ukraine’s land, absolutely.

Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are next on the chopping block. I’ll bet you that US forces are pulled from those countries, and their borders crossed by Russian forces in the next four years.

Trump will give Putin whatever he wants; Trump is a coward.

I’ll grant him more time as he has to put out the fires in California now.

No, that was not his campaign promise, that he made over, and over, and over.

He didn’t say, “as long as there is literally nothing else to do at that minute, I’ll end the war on my first day”.

I would imagine it will take a couple hours to reject the assumable “10% for the big guy” offers that are coming in today.

Why do you think Trump would reject pay for play?

What about his moral compass makes you think he’s above taking billions of dollars? They already did it with the House of Saud.

I'm not trying to be smart here. This is just a question. Had you been Zelensky, the minute you knew Biden had won his election in 2020. What would have been your strategy to protect your country? You aren't part of NATO. Putin has had his eye on Ukraine for a long time. Wasn't Putin massing troops, artillery and tanks on the border for months before he invaded?

I don’t have time for this thread. You will just start another with the same theme. The majority of American are on board with the very long list of “on day one” pledges, many of which are happening with the stroke of a pen.

Time to celebrate!

Did Biden say any of this campaigning?

President Biden previously pledged that he would not issue preemptive pardonsbefore leaving office, telling CNN that he would take a "totally different approach" to the justice system compared to then-President Trump.

In December 2020, CNN anchor Jake Tapper asked Biden if he was concerned about rumors that Trump would dole out a wave of preemptive pardons for some of his closest confidantes.

"Well, it concerns me in terms of what kind of precedent it sets in how the rest of the world looks at us as a nation of laws and justice," he said.

He won less than 50% of the vote, so this is also wrong.

They didn’t promise to end it within a day of taking office, and neither of them are POTUS right now, either.

So, not sure how the campaign promises of private citizens who hold no elected office is relevant here.

He promised not to pardon his family or preemptive      In which both he was lying.   Does that not count to you?

Is it true Biden granted a preemptive pardon to whomever started the LA fires?

It is true. A preemptive pardon for a person or persons to be named later.

The vid of Biden saying preemptive pardons are bad and he wouldn’t do it was in 2020.    Did you even look at the article or the vid in it ?

The most important thing is to discuss the root causes. I wonder what he thinks are the root causes. Putin is absolute nut job.
