Rumors last week that Paddy is hurt again. I believe Sasso is probably better anyway.

Paddy would probably major Sammy rn tbh

Not a chance...

Sammy has barely beaten guys who are unranked and in the 30s. I don’t think Paddy goes down 20-6 to Jackson Arrington then get pinned. I get the recency bias bc he lost to Kraisser but Paddy has had a good season

Paddy has had a really good season, but I just don't believe he beats Sasso and he sure as hell doesn't major him...

lol Minnow called it the “dual of the year”

That's insane. This dual was the epitome of what you don't want to see in college wrestling. Scoreless first periods are bad for the sport, and often the scoreless first period happens because neither guy wants to initiate any actual offensive attack. This dual had a scoreless first at 133, 149, 165, 184, 197, and 285. I don't know how anyone who actually watched it could have a different takeaway. The matches were all close because no one did anything.

I watched both Penn St./Mich St. and Rut/tOSU matches today and made the mistake of watching the Penn St one first...was hard to watch the Rut/tOSU after that...Penn St. gets after it...wow!

55-0 is a better dual than 17-15? I suppose it is if you're a PSU supporter...

More of a commentary on attack rate and scoring within matches than about competitiveness of a dual meet.  I enjoy watching the Bucs, they are one of the more entertaining teams.

I don't know if I'd agree with Griff on Paddy majoring Sasso, but I think he'd beat Sammy quite handily.

Is there any chance Sasso makes it down to 149 before B1Gs?

Sasso was never going 149 again. The plan all along was to go 157 and then he got shot...

Oh. I guess it was inevitable his results would drop anyway, in that case.

Maybe a fresh, fat, healthy Sasso beats Haines at 2024 B1G's, gets the top seed at 157 at the 2024 NCAA tourney and then wins it...💪

Side note, the Cartagena-Walsh/Rogotzke match is a great example of why takedowns are rightfully worth 3 points.

Cartagena-Walsh had 2 takedowns to zero, and Rogotzke had 3 escapes and I believe a stall point.  With 2-point TD’s that would’ve went to SV.
