this statement is a contradiction in itself, unless you take into account who would be happy if there was a weight where only PSU had a credible wrestler.

I guess my point is that I rarely see a 125 who isn’t doing terrible things to their body to make weight, and McHenry is a guy who looks like he weighs 115 soaking wet.

That young man is a world class athlete and he’s giving up 15-20lbs to his competition. I’d have the same feelings about it if he were still at Michigan. Hell, Iowa too.

Now, is he a statistical outlier? Absolutely. The entire world is getting bigger, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see 57kg go up to 59-60kg in the near future. So I understand why there isn’t a weight class that low.

First finalist for Penn State at 149. Connor Pierce beats OU’s McDougald, 4-3. His first ranked win, I believe.

What other sports does he competed in? Competitive pull ups? Or professional tag?

Seems like their lowerweight starters haven’t had a great showing.

PSU with 4 finalists.  Looks like next most is Northern Colorado with 3 and no one else with more than 2.
