Kurt McHenry is the sole reason 114/115/118 should still exist.

this statement is a contradiction in itself, unless you take into account who would be happy if there was a weight where only PSU had a credible wrestler.

I guess my point is that I rarely see a 125 who isn’t doing terrible things to their body to make weight, and McHenry is a guy who looks like he weighs 115 soaking wet.

That young man is a world class athlete and he’s giving up 15-20lbs to his competition. I’d have the same feelings about it if he were still at Michigan. Hell, Iowa too.

Now, is he a statistical outlier? Absolutely. The entire world is getting bigger, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see 57kg go up to 59-60kg in the near future. So I understand why there isn’t a weight class that low.

Spencer Moore over Beric Jordan in quarters, will be Poulin/Moore in finals

Jayden Scott of UNC over Mosha Schwartz on a stall call in SV:

Ryder and both Mirasolas in the semis

Well, well, well... @ 157: Brown's Blake Saito goes into the SoScuff finals w a 12-0 majorD.

(Who would've thunk it, eh? 😏)

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Duke's Wallace is having his way w/Okla's Picklo to go into the finals (10-6... a late TD by Picklo during garbage time made it closer than it really was.)

McHenry is a great wrestler,  but in no way is he a world class athlete.

What other sports does he competed in? Competitive pull ups? Or professional tag?

He’s a multiple time age group world champion.

Fly is excited for Army!

Seems like their lowerweight starters haven’t had a great showing.

125 Farmer - seeded 3rd, 1-2

133 Berginc - 1-2 (one being a MFFL)

141 Basile - seeded 2nd, in consi semis against teammate Treanor

PSU in close second, trailing Army, 115 to 111.5.

Nearly all points coming from the 3 PSU upperweight redshirts, plus Pierce, and a smattering from McHenry.

Sasso vs Mirasola would be a fun finals for 197

Twas not to be.  Sasso loses to Brophy of Citadel.

PSU with 4 finalists.  Looks like next most is Northern Colorado with 3 and no one else with more than 2.
