Just wondering if anyone has any opinions changed or expectations increased or decreased on anyone. Here are some of mine.

-Mendez still gets better every time I see him wrestle.. Hot take he does not have a one score match this year.

-Bouzakis is a week off of u23's and probably was more focused on freestyle but davino beating him after probably 4-5 months in the room with another 4 to go I think he could push for Saturday night at this weight in March.

-Feldman looks a lot bigger. Im not ready to put him with Kerk let alone Hendrickson off of a 7-3 win over Nate Taylor but he is definitely miles ahead of where he was this time last year (losing to trephan and nearly losing to catka)

-Is Rathjen just not a factor in the slightest at 157 or is Ethan stiles an AA contender?

- Ayala may be the guy he was advertised to be now that hes not cutting weight, his offense was on full display.

-Sonny Sasso has 5 first period pins in 5 matches thats pretty wild

WrestleStat's biggest mover of the week was Indiana freshman Bryce Lowery, who beats #20 Legend Lamer, 10-3, in his second college match of any type. With that and another convincing dual win at Cal Baptist, he's already #24 in the country according to WrestleStat's algorithm.

Rotchy got worked but I wouldn't put too much weight into it. I thought Keuter's conditioning would be a little further along with all the offseason training he's been doing. I'm kinda over Nelson, zzz...

- Keep in mind that Trepham and Catka may both be JVs this year

- Rathjen is probably not even a factor in the Iowa room at 157, let alone nationally... likely another JV

- Covid years, readily available medical redshirts, poaching of rosters, easy transfers, etc. have made a mess of things and guys who were serviceable starters are sent to the bench in 2024-2025.
