Most news is written to be read by anyone with a 6th grade level of reading. So that's still beyond what Trump and a good number of his supporters are capable of.

Why doesn't Trump want anyone to see his bought and paid for grades from college? I don't think Trump ever started or completed any graduate degree. Harris has a JD, which anyone who's been around law school students will tell you, requires a ton of reading comprehension.

If you ever watched the show, "are you smarter than a fifth grader," you would know that the answer is almost always that people are not smarter than a fifth grader. Speaking at a fourth grade level is a pretty good idea.
