Because I was responding to Peanut?  Did you bother reading that?

I read it. I still don't understand why you're infatuated with Sadulleavs age.

Interesting spelling.  Is that the original cyrillic?

Infatuated?  No so much, but let me explain:

Peanut was commenting on how accomplished Sad is at such a young AGE.

I'm basically saying: Not so fast, he is a documented AGE cheater.  Won cadets and was 19-20 when doing so?

This takes away nothing from his senior level accomplishments, but his does show that his window may be closing sooner rather than later, because they lied about his true AGE.

The recent injuries, the Taz loss,  and a 10-7 win over a guy whom Cardenas beat last year may indicate that his AGE may be causing a decline.

Got it?

Also, it has been rumored for some time that his age is not what his actual age is, and that was why he accomplished so much during his younger 'age' level successes.  Meaning he might have been a 21 year old at U17s.

Heard this rumour but I highly doubt it. He won his first cadet world title at 76kg and the final was a very competitive match with Ukraine. I don't think he was 20 years old at this time. His size and skill progression is consistent with his official age.

Are we saying Sad was 20 here despite being listed as 16? I find it hard to believe.

I am not.  Many do.

Where is this documented.  I’ve heard the rumors but haven’t seen about anything documented.

The documentation appeared at some point, I can't remember how or where.  It seemed to be pretty convincing.

It doesn't take away from the amazing senior level career he had, but it does show that Father Time may have entered the chat.

https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/5046031-is-russias-golden-boy-really-19

... so his own social media is at least one source.

We know that RUS has done this.  Karelin himself has called upon his countrymen to stop the practice of age cheating.

Yianni wrestled a 20ish year old in cadet finals.  We know this because Vito was training in Europe with the wrestlers club.

Frank Popolizio recounts how one year at his Journeyman international tourney, every Russian had exactly the same birthday.  Year and day!

This stuff has certainly happened in the past.  If true Sad is like 2 years older than listed.  Not a big deal, other than the end is coming two years sooner than anticipated.

Age cheating is weird. I get that Russian wrestling is so deep that they may have to resort to age cheating to give good wrestlers a chance to compete at a younger division at Cadets/Juniors/Uxx, but I would expect it to slow down development of legit age level Russians or even increase attrition. Intuitively, you'd eventually see this catch up to them when they can no longer age cheat but we don't really see them getting owned by other countries at the Senior level.

Why does his age matter to you?

What's the point?

To me, it's kind of like the Lance Armstrong doping scandal. Do I believe he was the best in the world? Yes. Do I believe he was a cheater? Also yes.

How is did he cheat? Saduleavv.  By lying about his age?  Was he too young for the world championships?

More than likely too old for cadets which I do not care about. The entire thing was brought up because someone mentioned that hes only 28 so probably has a good deal of tread left on the tires. That statement if true means he could potentially push for medveds record. However if he is 30 like some documentation has shown that becomes a much taller task.

Exactly.

Yep, that's about it. The Lance comparison is really to show that I don't care. He was still the best in the world against the best competition. When he competed at age levels, he had an advantage, that's all. Now he just has to deal with the fact he peaked a few years before the public thought he would based on his ostensibly young age.

Seems like many are cool with 19 year olds winning state titles in high school.  Basically the same thing.  Kid is clearly too old for high school, or kid is clearly too old for cadets.

How did Saduleavv cheat by winning senior worlds at 18 years old?

You're grasping for straws that aren't there to justify you're predictable l, weak argument.

Did you care about Beard grey shirting then redshirting for psu? No.

But, Beard still has ncaa eligibility,  without injury 7 years later.
