Fans were booing the push.  If it hadn't happened JB would have walked out of the arena to polite applause.

The JB doth protest too much, methinks.

The push happened after Messenbrink, for the umpteenth time, decided to continue wrestling after they were out of bounds or after the whistle had blown.  He does this all the time not just with JB.  It's super annoying and deserved a head shove imo.

He's long had this reputation and Askren has also talked about the kid being an instigator.

And lets also keep an eye on his future teammate, PJ Duke.  Duke is a stu and strong like bull, but I've seen at least  a couple instances of wrestling/cheapshotting after whistles and out of bounds.  Hopefully these are isolated instances. Kid is very very good.

MM has this, I'm so obsessed with wrestling and love it so much I just can't stop even when the whistle blows or we are out of bounds.  Like he's possessed or something.  Enough already, it's immature and time to knock it off.  JB felt the same way I'm sure and let him know about it.  Hopefully the message was received.

Somehow I doubt it.  Instigators often take pride in their work.  It even seems to be a job in the NHL.

Yeah especially when he will probably crush everyone this year.  Great wrestler and seems like a great kid in many respects, but if the fans were truly whining and ripping JB for that shove they are clueless about the sport.

JB was 100% in the right, and I enjoy watching MM work.

I'm not crazy about some things about Burroughs -- the head clubbing, not a gracious loser, etc.

If he wants to be a little ungracious and not stay above the fray with Messenbrink's antics (a guy I love watching wrestle)

So you don't like the head clubbing, a legal wrestling move in freestyle, but you do like MM's antic, which occur after the whistle and/orout of bounds??

I don't know why PSU keep saying he isn't a gracious loser except it fits their agenda.   He typically shakes hands and walks off the mat.  No incidents any World or international events when he has lost either. Regardless, show me a gracious loser and I'll show you a loser.

JB action incited the booing.  That observation stands by itself whether or not you think his violation of the rules is morally justified.

what about the other violation(s)

will it, they, be addressed? were they addressed?

Duke legitimately headbutted Pantaleo a full second after the whistle at WTT.  He was losing and couldn't handle that as being a fact.

Yes.  And the week before, he threw his semifinal opponent who was 2 feet out of bounds and 1+ seconds after the whistle.  It would have been 5 in bounds and before the whistle, though.

I get Duke's frustration in that bout, but the Russian coaches were less than pleased.
