Cael Sanderson can become the first NCAA wrestling coach to run the table with Champions.

Eight one time winners.

Five two time winners.

Four three time winners.

Two four time winners.

Then, we have ONE who can become a Five Time Champion.

We are talking a team under one coach, not the whole history of the school.

If we limit this to 4 timers and down, maybe Cornell is in the mix? They have two four timers with the same coach. Not sure about 3 timers during the same regime.

If Aaron Brooks comes back and wins a Fifth Title - he will stand alone, as will his coach.

What do you think, will it happen?

Didn't Smith already do the 1, 2, 3, 4?

John Smith had his brother Pat for Three Seasons. Joe Seay had him his first season.

Tom Ryan has a claim but no one who can go for a 5th title.

Cornell with Rob Koll or Iowa State under Bobby Douglas?

None have any chance at a 5 time champion. Just the bad luck associated with Covid altering the landscape and allowing a fifth season for some wrestlers.

Starocci can win 5, not Brooks.

Shouldn't post in between watching F1 racing and qualifying sessions and 'in and out' potty training the new puppy.

Well...Yianni and Dake were both 3 timers, so they've got that checked!

There is no way that Aaron Brooks is coming back or winning a fifth title.

I completely agree. There is ZERO chance Brooks can win a 5th title.

Starocci on the other hand, the one with another year left, he's a dark horse to maybe win a title next year.
