Boy, w/some of these wrestlers that are between the Olympic weights... some of these cuts are a Bridge Too Far for them.

I wish this situation wouldn't happen... but I guess one has to give that Olympic dream "a chase" anyway.

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Alirez over Beau 6-2. Nice double leg to lace to take the lead in the second.

Poor Basch.  Most viewers of the sport probably would have predicted this or a similar result.  Not Basch.  Picks Bartlett despite plenty of evidence to the contrary.  It is fine to pick underdogs, but in doing so, the guy ignores actual evidence... because NLWC.  In Bartlett's defense, he has closed the gap from their last two meetings, I think.

Maybe he closed the gap on the scoreboard but he didn't look any closer to me. AA shut it down the last :45 and Barlett didn't sniff a leg or pushout.

"lightening?" Did he have a big weight cut?

I had to look up the meaning of "lightening" before I think I got the joke

holy crap mirasola just took down brooks

Connor Mirasola has two more TDs on Brooks than the entire NCAA did this year.

Mirasola 2, NCAA 0.

Mirasola looked good in his loss to Brooks.

Penn State fans like me are quite pleased.

That kid is going to be a terror at 197.

Carter does not look smaller (at least not by much) than Hidlay. Amazing

Agreed. It does not look like they were two weight classes apart weeks ago.

Starocci is up at the break 1-1 on Thicclay.

Both have one passivity, next one is on the clock.

Furthermore, aside for Brooks, there wasn't a single 197lber that showed to be in Thicclay's class, either.

If Starocci goes up, he will be just fine.

It's starting to look like Starocci is going to get that rematch with Marsteller...

Back and forth with Thicclay... Thicclay is currently up 5-3, but Starocci has answered every time thus far.
