Hamiti sporting some fat tape, and not on the friendly side of the knee.

Was just about to say this, his legs must be in pretty rough shape. Some questioned whether he was injured at the end of the Messenbrink match - looks like he was.

Andddd Hamiti with the pin.

That has me worried.  But then he just flattened Moore, so there's that.

Craig Henning got screwed in the 2007 NCAA Finals.

Kinda brutal the lightest weights always have the shortest recovery period after weighins before competing. I wonder if the data would show that the majority of upsets come in the first few weight classes and if that could be a result of how guys respond to the weight cut?

Looks like he was surprised by the lack of flexibility when Sparks got that TD.

Starocci leading 8-3 with 1:18 into the second.

Now 11-3, building RT.

Starocci immediately bailed when.Sparks grabbed the injured leg.  We'll see what it looks like against better guys, BUT he does look ok.  He could definitely win (I was more doubtful of him because of the injury than most).  I'm rooting for him, but that was nerve wracking when Sparks grabbed that leg.

I don't think that's much of a factor.  They've been making weight all season and they've had 2 weeks to make sure they don't have to do the last minute cut.
