Who is the best wrestler from your state?

Indiana is not a premier state, and some of its best wrestlers have competed in other states for high school. But it’s produced some elite wrestlers anyway.

Not sure who the best is, but some of the best are Micic (world champ), Escobedo, Howe, Nick Lee, and Parris.

Steveson lived in Indiana for a while but it doesn’t really count.

Hildebrandt is the best women’s wrestler.

Myron Roderick was pretty good.  Also a decent coach, AD and racquetball player.

OK so I grew up abroad, went to high school in Iowa, attended college in Oregon, spent 5ish years each in PA and NY, technically live in Colorado currently (that's where my house is) but have spent the last 6 months in Iowa helping my parents get back on their feet. Which state do I pick? I'm going to have to do some research regardless

Iowa. I know you don’t feel like it’s your home, but it’s your state.

No stats to back this up, just an opinion from a former NYer originally from section 11 Long Island

Andrew Alvirez is one of my favorites. He’s confident, dominate and loyal. I’m also a big fan of Henry Cejudo!

I enjoy the fact that you claim all of them. Got one from England?

It's slim pickings - maybe Leon Rattigan - or eventually my own daughter

Since there seem to be no rules...

HS - Alan Fried (I always get pushback from folks about Luke Fickell, Taylor, Kemp and numerous others. I get it)

College - Lee Kemp (Steiber, Taylor)

HS/College/International - David Taylor (Kemp)

The UK just absolutely crushed it at the 1908 Olympics in freestyle, winning 11 out of a possible 15 medals—including three golds.

Depending on the level we’re talking about, I think it has to go between Jordan Burroughs, Damion Hahn and Bruce Baumgartner.

Hahn makes the cut here bc JB didn’t get really good til his junior year in college.

Overall. David Taylor. Not too long ago I had Lee Kemp.

I didn't read the posts below, but I imagine there will be some questions about whether he call the birthplace of aviation his home.

The Miller from the Canterbury Tales, hands down. He won the ram.
