Along those lines, in the 1980 NCAA tournament, one of the 177 semi-final bouts was between Dave Allen of Iowa State and Benny Hill of Tennessee.

If I'm not dating myself enough by remembering when Tennessee had a wrestling team, it's by remembering when I used to watch Dave Allen at Large and the Benny Hill Show (with Jane Leeves, later Daphne on Frasier, as one of Hill's Angels) on my local PBS channel.  Wednesday nights after 10, I think.

One of the commentators called the bout the battle of the English comedians, although Allen was, in fact, Irish.

Well this certainly confirms that going to PSU makes you a better wresfler than going to another school.

The Penn State gent is solid and has even bumped up for the team.  With how he has performed, Penn State may be able to give the Mirasola brothers a year to grow in tk the weight.

Also of note: Zach Ryder was entered in to the same tournament at 174lbs.

On the second day of the 2016 Southern Scuffle Lehigh's Drew Longo wrestled Kamaal Shakur of Chattanooga, while teammate Ryan Preisch wrestled Shakur Rasheed of Penn State.  In Lehigh's long wrestling history, those were the first two times they faced opponents with the name Shakur, and the bouts took place within a couple of hours of each other.

Last year we saw Mason Ding vs Peter Ding in the first ever Ming-Ding match sponsored by Ring-Dings

We also had Tinker vs Taylor but are still waiting on Soldier vs Spy.

Rogotzke vs Rogotzke coming up...

With his shirt pulled, I expect Rogotzke (tOSU) to get the nod the balance of the season, health providing.
