If you look at Cael and his brothers, both older brothers and his younger brother are  much smaller than he is.   He is the outlier in that family.   Looking at the parents would probably have been a misread on the smaller brothers.

Don't the recruiting coaches generally talk to the parents, maybe ask some questions?

Alternatively just don't ask and wait to be surprised.

Most of it is the eye test.  If parents are small in stature good bet the offspring will be as well and vise versa.  Gives a good idea but not always.

Probably should make sure the grandparents from both sides are there as well for the eye ball test...or at least have them fill out a stat sheet.
