How long you think Keuter does both sports? Kinda hoping he's a crappy linebacker...

I imagine Kueter will go at 285. Unless the long shot scenario that AJ is in by January and wants to go heavyweight happens (I sincerely doubt it)

Swafford at 184 makes sense, sending Arnold out at 184 as a true freshman is setting him up to fail definitely.

Other than that, it's not ideal to lose Nelson but PK and Caliendo at 165/174 isn't a bad combination. Both I can see AAing at their weights. Caliendo/Nelson is much better (as Nelson is a proven Top 5 guy) but it could be worse. Assad loss hurts since he is definitely a fringe AA in that field and they don't have a good replacement.

This is a broken record on Kueter.  He is already up around 230 pounds and the football strength and conditioning coaches are targeting to get him to fill out around 240-245 this year.  Unless he's a dud in football and quits don't expect him to be the next "great" for the Hawkeye wrestling program

Would this prevent him from wrestling this season?

Gonna be ugly early too with Drake and Kennedy out. Iowa state will win going away.

So he's going to be a good sized heavy? He's planning to wrestle and this year is as good of an opportunity as any.

Yes, this year would be his best opportunity to wrestle.  But, if he shows any sign of being draft eligible he's not going to have a career in wrestling.  Its not the old days.  College football at a school in a power 5 conference is a full year commitment.

Not in the Mountain West Conference though?

I don’t see Rhodes beating Swafford out for 184.

Hokit was un drafted and cut from rosters.  Kueter is a 4 star recruit and has a solid chance at getting drafted.  Hokit wasn't even a starter his senior year in college for Fresno State

Kueter hasn’t played an official down for Iowa football yet. Cool it with the draft BS

174 - Swafford

184 - Caliendo

Caliendo better hit that Trent Hillger diet if that's the case!

Swafford isn't that large.

They basically have three 165lbers there and I think Caliendo at 184 gives them their best peak performances.
