Kerk could have taken down Orndorf 20 times that match.  Instead settles for 3 takedowns and rides for 6:30.  Orndorf doesn't even more for a good 6:29 and doesn't get hit for stalling at all.  Kerk doesn't try to get the major and settles for a 8-1 win.  Very odd.  Even more odd the PSU coaches aren't yelling for him to cut him and get the major.

Why not cut him and get the major at least?

Iowa is bonusing like crazy; Penn State needs every bonus point they can get.

You know that 8 + 1 = 9, right?

And that he won 9-1?

He didn’t get a major. Unless they changed the score after the match ended.

Nah, it's 9-1... you should've waited for the score to post (it ain't over, 'till it's over. 😏)

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Lol. Yeah, they add on the RT point at the end. 9-1 final.

I agree with GK’s approach, however. Perhaps he’s trying to save himself for tonight? I don’t know.

He thinks Kerk needs to have a match strategy vs Orndorf. Probably just working on top game.

What do you think three TDs plus a reversal plus RT adds up to, Jimmy?

Come on.

I'm guessing he thought he got an escape and not a reversal.  I think probably an honest mistake actually

There is a special rule book on HWT stalling. It's top secret.

Typical Tato match. We wouldn't have been much more action if he was on his feet. Maybe Kerk's strategy was to cruise on top and see if Tato would DQ out with stall calls? He deserved it.
