Their punishment 

• One year of probation. 
• A $25,000 fine, plus 0.5% of the men’s wrestling program’s budget.
• Two, one-week bans on recruiting communications with transfers for the men’s wrestling program during the first week of the men’s wrestling notification-of-transfer windows for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 academic years.
• Disassociation from the booster for two years.
• A 10% (equivalent of two contests) suspension from the men’s wrestling season for the former head coach, who is now the director of men’s and women’s wrestling, during the 2026-27 academic year.

Glad to see the NCAA at least has a slight pulse in enforcing violations.  Although I'm sure there are much more serious shenanigans going on.

I don't think so... but it probably didn't hurt.  Switch prob had more to do with adding the women's program and not wanting to lose Metcalf.... but maybe the ISU admin wanted to get him to move on...

BTW do you know is it Dr. MP, Dr. Phillips or Dr. Lips?  Quick search came up with a plastic surgeon named Dr. Phil Lips in Ohio.

When he coached hs, I stumbled into a conversation about the mechanics of Christiansburg's recruiting machine. A couple minutes into his detailed if aprocryphal account of Dresser's ingenious manipulations of VHSL rules, I realize my new friend is a real fan: "He can sell snow to an Eskimo." The results spoke for themselves. A decade of plundering surrounding counties, building a NJ=> VA pipeline, and nabbing home-town heroes from all over the East Coast; and, only one kid was ruled ineligible. 

So, is this a done deal? If so, Im a little disappointed. I had great faith in Dresser's ability to get of anything.
