well at least you realize that is what is causing the problems in Isreal.

Lol, I don't think I ever made a conclusion on the cause of violence in Israel much less said it on here.  How is it that you so often end up with erroneous conclusions?  How did you conclude that South Sudan has Muslim enemies who strike against them indiscriminately?  That's more than a lack of critical thinking.  It's straight ignorance and assuming Muslims are the problem...  pretty much the exact opposite of critical thinking.

for some unknown reason. lol

Because it was irrelevant to what he was responding.  Going back to the Caveira's assertion that the top 10 most dangerous countries in the world being "overwhelmingly predominantly Muslim"  only 5 of the top 10 on the list I found were predominantly Muslim.  If you want to change the premise from what Caveira said to include Israel then Muslim countries represent 5.5-6 of the top 10, which might be a slight majority, but not an overwhelming majority.

but you made a statement that isreal was dangerous... and it wasn't muslim.

leaving out the problem that the reason it was dangerous was b/c of muslims.

not to mention one of the congos many groups of fighters is muslim as well.

so well over half of the top ten are muslim problems

and i would south sudan has some influences, not reported as muslim, who want to reunite

The ranking was not my own.  I found it using Google.  It used the Global Peace Index (GPI) produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace.  To the extent that I said Israel wasn't Muslim that was comparing the religious demographics (which is ~80% Judaism) with Caveira's assertion.  To refresh your memory that was "Rank the 5-10 most dangerous countries in the world and why are they overwhelmingly predominantly Muslim"  I don't read that to include any determination as to the which religion is most to blame for a country's rank.  If I had to guess what Caveira was thinking when he asked the question he was expecting Muslim counties to make up most of the top 10 and then whoever answered the question would conclude Muslims/Islam is the cause the violence.

The top result on google didn't work with Caviera's attempt at the Socratic method.  Only half of the top 10 countries are predominantly Muslim.  If you want to blame certain conflicts between different groups on Muslims and then rank based upon the group you blame for the violence that is not only a different question it doesn't work with the Socratic method.  The conclusion you are hoping to prove with the question would be baked into the assumptions you made to categorize the countries and answer the question.  That's not how it works.

What are you talking about?  The DRC is 1% Muslim.  The rebels fighting the government is M23 a group of fighters backed by Rwanda which is also not a Muslim nation (2.2% Muslim).  Name the "many groups" of Muslim fighters you claim make DCR dangerous?

I also don't know what you are talking about in South Sudan.  The vote was 98.8% in favor of leaving. Do you not think it was a free and fair vote?  The fighting is between Dinka and Nuer groups neither are Muslim.  Going back to the original topic of this thread look into what happens to journalists in South Sudan.  Muslims didn't do that.

Only 5 of the top 10 are predominantly Muslim. Even if you want to count Israel that is 6 out of 10 which is a slight majority and not an overwhelming majority like in the question Caveira asked nor is it well over half.

One of the top comments offers a good summary.

IDF kills journalist.

Offers a photo as “proof.”

IDF admits they lied.

Pretty much no one cares.

West Bank journalist recalls horrific conditions of being imprisoned by Israel for almost 2 years with no charges before finally being released and never being charged with any crime.  Clearly targeted for his journalism, he was violently arrested just weeks after publishing a piece in American media about the systematic destruction and interference by the Israeli military in Jenin, including hospitals.

The only democracy in the Middle East!  I post these stories because maybe one day some of you will end up on the right side of history, but I’m not hopeful.

Ironically, this particular journalist was also present in 2022 when the IDF murdered his friend, female journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY, #598,110,746

Republican candidates sometimes run on a platform of opposing Sharia law, which I have always thought was silly–like endorsing motherhood and the flag, back when those things were not controversial. Who, after all, could possibly be in favor of Sharia law?

Quite a few young people, it turns out: Sharia Law: 43% of Youngest Voters Like It:

A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports and Our Republic finds that 21% of Likely U.S voters have at least a somewhat positive opinion of sharia, a system of Islamic religious principles and law. Fifty-seven percent (57%) view sharia negatively.

Good Lord, I should hope so! But the worst is yet to come:

Positive views of sharia are much higher among younger voters, including 43% of voters ages 18 to 24 and 39% of those ages 25 to 29.

And a considerable portion of our young people would endorse imposition of Sharia law in communities where it is supported by the majority, like, for example, Dearborn, Michigan:

83% of all Likely Voters oppose allowing sharia to become the legal code for everyone in an American town, city, or state, even if a majority of residents wanted it. However, 27% of voters under 30 would support allowing a community to adopt sharia under those circumstances.

What could possibly be going on here? I assume that if you asked young people whether the law should endorse husbands beating wives, or homosexuals being executed, virtually none would say Yes. But somehow, many young Americans have gotten a positive view of Sharia, whether they know anything about it, or not.

Perhaps this is due to our appallingly bad schools, but still: can there possibly be many public schools that push Sharia law on their students? Or maybe it’s the popular culture, but again: what movies, TV shows, podcasts and the like are pro-Sharia?

It really is a mystery. But somehow, a great many young Americans are being indoctrinated into an alien ideology that is utterly incompatible with our system of government or our mostly free civilization. I can’t explain how this has happened, but we should all be concerned about it.
